At 6V, 10Amps, the inductor would influence the size.
I have to question the efficiency at that size, what are you seeing?

The inductor is pretty large compared to the size of the PCB. About 1/2 the size of PCB
It's says 91% Typical

The 6Amp would suffice.
Would you turn it down for 2 bucks more?
Inductor gets small, but capacitors get huge. External capacitance would be required.

You don't need much money at all to make a good performing mod, just some knowledge, soldering ability and perspiration.
compare high frequency converters to the old fashioned 60 cycles power supplies. Large capacitors, large inductors.
Frequencies above 1 megahertz require much smaller L and C.
Frequencies above 1 megahertz require much smaller L and C.
Switching losses at higher frequencies affect efficiency significantly. Overcoming the higher fequency losses comes at a price in either size or efficiency. Size being larger inductors with lower ESR, more capacitance to smooth the ripple, etc.
