I don't try to hide it, but I try not to attract too much attention, either. I have a semi-large VV mod and it does kind of look weird, particularly here in Canada where the concentration of vapers is about 1PPM. (Although a little denser in the general area where I live -- generally because it's a large city.) Plus, with the Health Canada situation here now being about where the FDA situation was in the US about a year ago, I figure it's probably just wiser to keep it low profile until things get sorted. If they get sorted.

At first I would never vape in a public building, but now my views have changed. I still have a certain amount of anxiety about it as far as not knowing if I will be confronted about it, but I just tell myself that I am not doing anything illegal, nor am I harming anyone by vaping, and I have as much right to be there and vape as the person does who is causing me to have to listen to their screaming kid all the way through the store. :)

Took it to a non-smoking bar last night for the first time. I was pretty discrete about it, but one of my buddies "HAD TO TRY IT".. He took the biggest drag I have ever seen and started coughing up a lung. The cloud of vapor stuck around for a minute and we got a few dirty looks from the other patrons. It probably didn't help that I was laughing my ... off..

Hello All, I am new to ECF... first post here. I was cautious at first, but have not gotten any negative feedback from anyone yet. I do get stares, but at 7ft Tall, I have gotten used to stares, so hard to tell if it is due to the E-Cig,lol I go Ninja Vape at work, using the fruity or java liquids, less of a VG cloud in Ninja mode is best :)

Part of the reason I switched to vaping was the fact that I didn't want to be 'herded' in with the analog smokers. I use common sense when I vape. I enjoy being able to sit at the table with my friends after a nice meal out and try to be as subtle as possible. The fact that other people will be offended is moot, they are the same ones who complained when I smoked the real ones outside, in the open air. I will not cower to what other people think is right for ME, to this I stand firm!

i have no problems with vaping in public ..... the day i switched i starting vaping inside my building at work ... got a few funny looks my boss even asked what the hell i was doing ... once i explained to him what it was he was fine with it. i will never do it anywhere that someone has asked me not to ... but seeing as its not illegal im not very shy about it .... i do stealth vape if im somewhere that i know it could be a big problem though.

I am shy and I thought people would come up to me and start asking about the ecig when I use it in normal outdoors places where smoking is allowed. But they don't. The only time someone asks me is if they are people I know or if I plant myself next to a solitary smoker just to be social - then the smoker will usually ask "is that one of those things?" and I will bend his ear a bit and send him here.
