Hiyas, found this superb site when researching e-cigs for my wife's friend.
Have been smoking roll your own for over 40 years and the odd pipe which i inhale like a drowning man. Consider my self a hard core smoker, tho would not dream of lighting up in public without asking first.
Doctor said i should quit and i replied "If my dog starts coughing, i'll consider it."
Just ordered an Evo from intellicig and some 36mg liquid from Totally Wicked, after reading some reviews here.
Don't expect to quit analogs, but would be nice for my wife and dog if i quit stinking up the house.

Chicago here. Been smoking forever, been ryo for over 5 years. I see the feds are going to raise taxes on ryo tobacco from about $1 a lb. to $25 on April 1. (the governments True national holiday). I figured I would wave the white flag and hoping these e cigs get me over the hump.
Great forum and people I see here and as I notice the large # of posts coming in daily, I just have to wonder how long it will take before the government gets their greedy hands into this situation.

Hello, I am from Birmingham, England that is. I liked the idea of e-cigs so much I decided to sell them. I do practice what I preach and have gone from smoking 50 roll-ups a day to zero. I love my e-cig and beacause I sell them I am in a position to try all flavours and even had my own blend "Liquid Gold" made that is selling like crazy. There is no way that I will ever go back to cigarettes.

My second week of trying these things out. I am still not to sure what to think as of yet. I am finding them somewhat unreliable and am thinking that perhaps the technology still needs some refining....perhaps not quite ready for primetime yet.
I have found the cartridges don't last anywhere close to what is stated in the advertising and one of the 2 batteries that came with mine is quite "wonky". I also don't like the occasional liquid drops that get on my lips after a particularly strong drag.
I have started playing with "glycerine" to get that extra amount of smoke (which makes a HUGE difference by the way) but of course now that I have a satisfactory amount, I no longer get any sensation in my throat and chest. I can see this is going to take some time and experimenting until I can find the perfect "mix".
