New V-Go Kit Help

Heyyyyy everybody, long time, no post! Law school's been kicking my ...., and I fell off the wagon for a bit, but now I'm back on since I'm on winter break.

Anyway, I got the new v-go kit, and I'm back to feeling like a vaping newb. I've been looking all over the forums for a couple weeks, and I can't find anything about my problem.

So here's the deal. It worked great for the first fill. Second fill, one of the clearomizer thingies started getting a burnt taste every few drags, even if I let it rest for minutes between puffs. I think I've figured out that it has something to do with air pressure keeping it from wicking, because when I loosen the silicone plug and replace the cap again, it works great for a few more drags (minus the gurgling that seems to happen everytime I adjust the plug).

So, is there a clearomizer 101 out there that I need to look at? How do I clean these? I know about cleaning regular attys pretty well, but this... well, this seems to be a totally different animal. Plus, every time I look up videos and information on clearomizers, I get results for a totally different model which seems 100% unlike what I've got.

So... help?

Sorry, I have no experience with them so I can't help. Welcome back though!! Several people here have tried them and hopefully someone will be along shortly and can give you some advice.

Very interesting find.... The number one thing noticed by people was the burn taste... I popped off the white cap and replaced the whistle tip and chain vaped my self into a Nic coma... So it is definitely going into an air lock.... Unfortunately I don't see a really good way to alleviate this w/o getting a leak. My best suggestion is vape with cartos... if you want to use the tank then keep the plastic cap in place until you take a vape break then remove it... just don't tip the tank on its side.

Thanks for the warm welcome-back, everyone! And thanks for the tip, Whistles. That's what I thought I would have to resort to, unfortunately. I've been considering poking holes in the cap, maybe slipping a coffee straw through it, but leaking would still definitely be an issue. Hmm.

I didnt experience this issue until the 10th fill.. The wick looks black / burnt so I think I am going to toss it.. Anyone know where to buy the clearomizer for these?

Ms. TheLexicana biggest suggestion is use cartos instead....

Newb sir only found the ce4's in ego t threading thus far....

TheLexicana, there are two things that help with that:

1. Take 2-3 puffs without pressing the button

2. gently tap the tank so that any air bubbles will rise that may have been blocking absorption by the wick.

These have both helped me.


And yes......I have not been able to find compatible tanks anywhere. Same goes for the cones, if you're interested in using regular cartos without that screwdriver appearance. Anita graciously found one place (here in US) that carries cones but they are the push-on type and do not screw on ours. I bought them anyway, thinking I could make them work. I made an "o-ring" out of a rubber band (cut and knotted) and put in on the threading where a cone should screw on. It does work but I'm sure I'll be messing with it. I've got to go to the hardware store to find o-rings for this and it will be fine.

I wish these accessories were available.

Well maybe popping the white cap off is a bad idea... I litterally burned my self because the juice leaked down on to the contact which caused it to heat up enough "yes I was chain vaping" I definately do not advise vaping the vgo tank w/o that white cap installed
