Hey, hoping for a little guidance please ?

I purchased the aegis x a few weeks ago and it was working alright besides batterairs drain quick. I had a habit of swapping out the batts and not charge us due to clumsiness and the usb quit working. this worked fine for a year with my both of my smok veneno. My 2nd one is doing some crazy stuff with battery B being drained within hours and A untouched. Decided it was time for a change since I ran out of patience swapping the batteries. I’ve had the X almost three weeks now and yesterday I noticed the door was giving me a difficult time, I figured user error. This morning when I went to swap the batteries I closed the door unknowingly.... and now I can’t get it to open. Ummm not my proudest moment....
I tried some google-YouTube and I haven’t been able to come across anyway to open it. So now I’m back to my 1st veneno, and needing to tape/I tape the bottom is a real pain. Its almost three years old and I didn’t take the best care of it.
Anyway i would be very appreciative if anyone had any tips!! I really don’t wanna drop more money on another device.
thanks

I don't have that particular mod, but I have the Solo and it's been trouble free...

I can only suggest that you contact your vendor and ask for a replacement or a fix since it's still under 90-day warranty:

Push down and slide the door open & closed. It is a sliding latch door type.
If you jamb or force it closed it can take a good bit of force to open.

Are you using flat top cells?
Using quality name brand cells bought from a known reputable dealer?
Matched & married set?
same brand & model, same age & charge cycles, used as a matched set, sufficient CDR for the power ranges you use?

Can't give you specific advice on the mod but just asking... do you have an external charger? Using the USB to charge is not a good idea (maybe once in a while if needed but not all the time) Also, maybe you put one (or both) batteries in upside-down. I can't help but think you might be better off with internal battery mods.

Yea I have tried pushing down hard and it will not slide.
Ihaven’t even used the usb charger on this new one, I was thinking maybe swapping batteries once a day might have put too much wear on it but it’s brand new not even a month old!
I believe they are flat top and I never mix them. Green and brown. Bought the first two years ago then bought two more with the external charger last June.
Guess I should look up on that warranty. Wish I had found this site before I bought this! I was visiting my mom in SC and that’s when my newer smok started acting up.

Thanks for replying

What? Someone broke the indestructible aegis? Preposterous! Just kidding. Sounds like ya jammed it closed pretty good though. And I do, hereby, second the battery info you were given. Right now, with the battery door jammed the way it is, your batteries may be in a sketchy spot so be careful trying to get them out. And they may also be damaged once you do get them out.
