New member warning... I've been going through the forum and I can't find specifically what I am looking for so I'm going to ask a question (fingers crossed, I don't get flamed).

Heres my story and I'll keep it short. I purchased an njoy express kit about a week ago to try and cut my smoking. So far I like the taste and battery life but I feel like there is so much out there in terms of e-cigs.

First question: I noticed that my Njoy does not have a liquid I can refill with different flavors. I have been noticing that many people on this forum are talking about eliquids. What are the benefits of having eliquid where I can change the flavor as opposed to my Njoy that does not seem to be able to change flavors. Am I missing out on a world of flavors here? Also is one safer than the other? Or cheaper to manufacture?

Any response will help me gain a better understanding, thanks guys.

Hi Cig,

Three things - battery life (a lot of great choices to reduce the need for charging), juice storage capacity (you're using little pre filled cartridges, imagine having something to last all day without changing/refilling), cost (your cartridges are expensive as compared to refillable systems). We'd be happy to walk you through the options.

Thank you and thank you. Mainly I am gonna lurk and search so I don't ask redundant questions. Having been acclimated to such in other forums I frequent.
This forum is different, go ahead and ask if a quick search doesn't give you what you're looking for.
We're all in this together, and we like to help.
:)

From what your saying about the "kit" you bought, it is one that looks kinda like a ciggy but obviously not real tobacco. Those can be refilled but the process is a little different. The type I am using is a Joyetech eGo-t. It is a drip tip tank style. The atomizer is built into the upper half of the system. It has plastic tank-tips that I can refill with what ever juice I feel like. Its also a manual system meaning that you have to push a button that lights up to make it make smoke.

The main thing I was wondering myself and can't seem to find it yet. I have an ego-t tank style with a punch tip style Atty. I think that's right. I was wondering if the ego types are Interchangable? My brother has one he can swap out the Atty tips and its different from mine.

Mine is a cylinder type where the Atty is a fixture. Not the cone style.

Thanks Flyer, I think you nailed it with the "pre filled cartridges" I just found out that I have to replace the whole cartridge as oppose to just the liquid. I'm guessing this is an expensive way of refilling. As far as "last all day without changing/refilling" what do you mean? The website for Njoy says a pack is equal to a carton of cigs (I'm guessing this is a little inflated).

Lastly will you share your top 3 favorite brands? I'd love to explore more options to see what is the right brand for me. Sorry if I'm asking too many questions I'd really like e-cigs to be a sustainable option for me moving forward, and for that to happen I'd like to find the right brand.

To get an awesome vape setup, all you need is an ego battery ($15-$25) a vision clearomizer ($5) and a 30 ml 100%VG bottle of Bobas Bounty from Alien Visions Ejuice ($15) Thats an awesome set up that vapes great, tastes great, and doesnt cost much. I buy everything from smoktek.com since they sell Alien Visions eliquid, so its one stop shopping. If you want a larger selection of flavors, go directly to Alien Visions Ejuice site and the shipping is free. Its a win either way. Try Gorilla juice too, its awesome

Cig-Vicious -

For mid-size PV batteries you have a choice between fixed and variable voltage. I usually recommend KGO 900 mah batteries for fixed voltage and EGO Twist 650 mah for variable voltage. Obviously the KGO will last longer and will likely last you most of a day. The Twist will probably not last all day, but a lot longer than what you are using now. In either case, you'll want two of whichever you choose.

For more juice storage you can choose between XL size cartomizers which you will need to top off with 10-15 drops every couple hours (not a big deal really) or a tank system that will hold enough juice for most of a day, maybe more. Most use what is called a carto/tank system which is a cartomizer with a tank slid over it to feed it juice so that you don't have to add drops every few hours. A fairly newer system called clearomizers are becoming very popular and they are my current favorite. The Stardust version 3 and the Vivi Nova version 2 or 2.5. The Vivi Nova may look a little awkward on a KGO or Twist battery due to it's size, but it will perform well. the Stardust will look perfect, but may need juice added at one point during the day (again, no big deal). For money savings, both use atomizer heads that can easily be rebuilt in about 10 minutes for pennies.

Hope this helps-

Hello Cig, I'm from San Diego too.
:)

The best favor you could ever do for yourself is to read this...
The Wonderful World of Vaping | Vaping Guides to the Electronic Cigarette

After you read that, you will understand what everyone here is talking about.
And you'll understand all of the various options.

Then you can start asking the REAL questions about what kind of setup you want or need.
