Welcome to The Internet, where the men are Men, and the Women are Also Men. It's nice to meet you, Sir

HA HA! :D

Been on the internet for more years than some on here have been alive. :) ECF is the first forum where more posters seem to assume most others are men. Maybe it's because it's likely that more vapers are men and would be posting here? IDK

Doesn't really bother me though. In fact, sometimes it can be advantagous to have others think you're a man, when you're not. Example: I'd call around for car repair estimates using my normal, not really high-pitched voice, but I sound like a woman. I'd get 1 estimate from each place. Wait a day or so and call the same places...except using my very low-pitched voice (sounds like a guy)...and I'd often get faster service and many times lower estimates for the same repairs! True story! I just use the manly voice now from the get-go, and I call once!

We had a member who took ownership and started compiling all the recipes on the TPA/TFA recipe thread but finally had enough. The last compilation of it can still be accessed through the link on this post.

Funny you mention the TFA thread. I found myself reading through this thread and came to the conclusion that TFA is a very popular choice as well as Capella? I will make a few orders through WL this weekend as I need a few 240 mL bottles for me rebottling. I think when I was vaping Ruthless E-Juice, I finally tasted the peppery taste as I left the tank out in the sun for about 30 minutes which seemed to alter the liquid. So I think I am going to go with a liter of 100mg/ml from NN (Not the Armor V2, just the regular and rebottle) or VT. Haven't came down to the conclusion yet. Will be ordering on Monday or Tuesday.

I forgot the whole equation when it comes down to calculating how long a liter of nicotine will last somebody. If someone would like to chime in right now (that would be great), but if not and if I remember correctly, one liter of 100mg/ml will last me about 7 years. I am currently vaping about 4-5ml of 6mg of juice a day and will have no need to go higher. I will probably put 5mg worth of nicotine when I DIY, but we will see.

I'm not familiar with a "natural" differentiation." What manufacturer is that?

I honestly forgot which manufacture made it and for some odd reason, I could not locate the website either. But I am assuming it is like "Strawberry" versus "Strawberry (Ripe)" . Or something along those lines. Not too sure though.

I am NOT, in any way, shape, or form, saying "don't buy NN". I am only saying that I am too old, cheap, and skeptical, and won't pay their prices for oxygen purging, septums, and ascorbic acid. I see no reason to pay $100/L when I can buy nic with close to the same reputation for $45-50/L. I will gladly go through the added hassle of re-bottling for that kind of savings.

Now... You just made me think about RTS again. I just do not like the strong peppery taste. All of the reviews I have read consist of a wide range of answers both good and bad. But in the end, it comes down to the top forums all agreeing on 2 companies, NN and VT. There is also the EVEN more EXPENSIVE one which starts with a "C" but I forgot the name at the moment. At the moment, If I had to pick between nicotine companies -- I am stuck between NN, VT, and RTS. RTS is of course the cheapest and VT is the most expensive.

No, I got the regular, original version. My thinking is the actual nic inside the container IS the same. If I spend less $$ on rebottling it (correctly) myself for longterm storage, the more nic and other supplies I could buy.

This is the main reason I am going to get the regular 100mg/ml nicotine versus the NN Armor V2.0 if I do decide to go with NN. I also suspect that sometime during the 6 years of taking in and out the nicotine, the NN Armor V2.0 would HAVE to have some wear-and-tear regarding the silicone lid.

About flavorings and recipes: WL is a great choice, IMO. Always has super prices, great CS, variety of different manufacturers and flavorings, and the best careful packaging for shipment IMO.

Recipes using strawberry? Yep, I have a few I regularly make, for myself and some for friends. One simple one is below, my clone of a local vendor's NanerBerry. It's a shake & vape for me, though a couple friends let theirs wait for 24 hours. All 3 flavorings used are TFA:

NannerBerry

Strawberry Ripe - 9%
DX Banana Cream - 6% (Can ue reg. if you prefer)
Cotton Candy - 2%

Another is a slightly modified version of Bill's Magic Vapor's "Flamingo", which is also all TFA:

Strawberry Ripe - 9%
Peach - 6%
DX Coconut - 4%
Sweetener - 2%

You may want to checkout his huge collection of recipes and his blogs for much, much more...although he subscribes to the HF theory because nearly everything is then shake and vape. I make about 7 of his recipes regularly, and I've only tried 9 of them so far!

About the Thank you sir...well you're welcome, but it's actually ma'am. :D

And lastly, like I mentioned previously, I plan to buy my flavorings / glass bottles (the 240ml Amber ones) / Syringes ? Regardless, WL is it for the flavoring as of right now. And I really appreciate the recipes, I will most definitely have to try the strawberry x banana one. Unfortunately, I do not like coconut :danger:

And did I say sir? My deepest apologies. Once my BOOMING DIY recipes (I hope I hope I hope....) are mastered, free 30ml bottle on me for my mistake :rickroll:

EDIT: Sorry for the late reply. I have been busy with registering for classes at college. Anyways, I am looking for a RTA. I was thinking of getting a Geekvape Griffin? What are your guy's opinions?

Also, are the only items I need to stock up on is nicotine, devices such as mods and boxes, and tanks? What about coils and flavoring? I am assuming PG, VG, Batteries, and Cotton will be readily available regardless of the regulations. Just want to make sure that about 2-4 devices and 2-4 tanks should be okay.

I swiped this from another thread: (also a member just getting into DIY)
This little chart from Carolina Xtract is super helpful. This of course assumes every single thing you make is vapeable. I have made lots of drain cleaner lol. Lots of people mix zero mg until they hit on something. I find nic such an integral part of the flavor that I always mix test batches with nic.

100mg 1L 24mg 4.167 Liters
100mg 1L 18mg 5.555 L
100mg 1L 16mg 6.250 L
100mg 1L 12mg 8.333 L
100mg 1L 8mg 12.5 L
100mg 1L 6mg 16.665L
100mg 1L 5mg 20.00 L
There is also the EVEN more EXPENSIVE one which starts with a "C" but I forgot the name at the moment.
Carolina Extracts... They are kind of the "Gold Standard" of of the nic connoisseurs (and priced like it too!). Too rich for my blood.
I am stuck between NN, VT, and RTS. RTS is of course the cheapest and VT is the most expensive.
They're all good choices. But I'll make matters worse; you need to add Heartland Vapes to your short list. A lot of positive reviews describing their nic as tasteless (not peppery/or big throat hit), whould be right in your wheelhouse. And at $45/liter; it's pretty hard to resist.

Vaping on one as I type. Love `em! I have two. Handles high VG liquids like a champ. Good air flow range. Never had a leak issue though it does weep a bit. About every 3-4 tanks I need to take it of the mod and give a quick wipe to the top of the mod and bottom of the tank.
Also, are the only items I need to stock up on is nicotine, devices such as mods and boxes, and tanks? What about coils and flavoring? Preformed coils I'm not sure about. If you're building your own; straight wire shouldn't be an issue (fancy wire like clapton, and its cousins, I again don't know). Flavoring shouldn't be an issue as it has lots of uses outside of the vaping industry (except tobacco flavors may be problematic).
Basically, if it has purpose(s) beyond the vaping industry we should be fine. If not we're going to be hard pressed. Sources may change as the vendors start to fall but they should still be available. So yes; batteries, cotton, wire, most flavors, PG, and VG should all be relatively unscathed.

Ha funny you should mention that. If I'm unsure I try to be gender neutral in my responses by using words like "the OP", they, them, etc. But I do see what you mean.

Anyways, I am looking for a RTA. I was thinking of getting a Geekvape Griffin? What are your guy's opinions?

I've been using the Regular Griffin as well as a Griffin 25 I got a little over a month ago and really like both. Haven't tried it yet, but the 25 comes with two airflow pugs for single coils builds....one blocks off air and juice flow and the other just blocks the juice and leaves side airflow to the single coil.

But I'll make matters worse; you need to add Heartland Vapes to your short list.

I'm "that other member just getting into DIY", so I can't vouch for the products from Heartland Vapes. Just wanted to comment that not only a great price on the nic base, but they had pretty much everything I needed to get me started....placed my order yesterday. If I can, I prefer to make one order rather then a bit here and a bit there. All their prices seemed reasonable enough that I didn't even bother to look elsewhere. It's worth a look.

@IDJoel happy to have a liter in the fridge of Carolina. And I plan to add one more to the freezer next paycheck. I have bunch of other stuff as well.

It is reserved for the special personal mixes of mine.
I'm envious my friend! You're vapin' on a "craft brew" budget while I am in the "Milwaukee's Best" league.:D
