Hi guys,
I am louis in a little NE Texas town & I am a smoker.
My wife brought home a e-cig kit for Christmas & told me it was for both of us.
I have been a pk a day smoker for 48years & am tired for not being able to breath & hearing my doctor saying if I don't stop I won't have many more birthdays.
Now at my age we don't like counting, but the alternative is out of the question.
I have been vapeing for a little over a week & have not had a analog in 6 days.
I think this will work as I don't miss the old cigs at all & feel better than I have in years.
I have been reading this forum for over a week & have learned a lot as it has so many long time vaporers on it.
This forum ROCKS & I will check in as often as I can.

Later & keep on vaping
:vapor:

Congrats! We've been vaping for just over two months now. We started with the Riva setup and haven't looked back. Best advice I can give to do not keep any analogs around. The first week we had the Rivas I went from 1.5 packs a day to a pack a week. I smoked the analogs because they were around and in reach. We then sold all the analogs we had and we don't miss them at all. Keep extra batteries on hand and charged as well as extra juice. We've been stocking up a bit here and a bit there. Now we are all set for several months and can vape through power outages. :)

It would be great if your wife joined us here at ecf also. Carrie and I have interesting conversations on our way to and from work on what we read on ecf that we found interesting. Lots to learn and lots of helpful people here. :thumb:

Welcome to the world of vaping! I bought a pv for my Dad and Mom(for Christmas) they are in their 60's. They really love them. My Dad has had 3 strokes from analog cigs. So trying the vaping was good for him. He has cut his smoking down quite a bit. Hopefully he will quit completely. So I say "Bravo to you", your body will thank you for it. Keep on Vaping! :)

Congrats! I just started myself, and although I only smoked for 15 years, I'd quit 3 times before for maybe 2-3 months at a time using patches, gum, and lozenges. This time, though I feel it's gonna stick - I barely even miss smokes after 10 days, and I have trouble imagining sucking on a stinky mass of burning leaves with vaping as an option!

Welcome to ECF. keep at it! I am about 30 days with 9 days analog free! I would keep your tobaccy stuff till you have all Attys, Batts and juices stocked up. Remember you're not falling off the wagon, just running next to it while your batteries charge up. Once you are a hand up on all that you need to vape only, the analogs will be gone forever. Make sure you ask any questions and if feel funky let us know.
