The manual battery shouldn't make any difference one way or the other. Make sure the carto you're using is full, especially if it was prefilled. I had a few arrive that were pretty dry, they tasted nasty and made me cough. Even properly filled cartos can be a little strange when brand new, they need a short break-in period before they're up to normal operation. Estimates are between six and twelve drags.

I've never used a Greensmoke, so I can't compare vapor production, but I get a pretty good cloud from my Vaporking. There may be a difference in the amount of VG that greensmoke uses in their liquid versus what you're getting in the V4L product. You can buy pure VG and add it to your liquids if you just want a larger cloud.

Our first kits were smoke 51, which I believe is the long totem batteries that may be the same as greensmoke, not sure. They rocked for vapor production, but we prefer the flavors of VL4 along with outstanding customer service.

Friends who try my auto batteries often choke and cough at first as they draw the vapor directly in like an analog. I sort of draw the vapor in to my mouth and then inhale it. It is a bit of a change in technique.

Were your greensmokes auto? Haven't used a manual, hopefully you'll get some better feedback from those that do.

I used Greensmoke before I found the V4L Vapor King. I did like the huge clouds of vapor with the Greensmoke, but the flavors, battery life, and nic strength selection were not adequate for me. When I got the vapor king, I didn't expect as much smoke, but honestly, I get almost as much. I do notice that, for me, it depends on the flavor. I started with auto as well, but much prefer manual now. ETsmokinandvapin does what I do and draw the vapor in my mouth at first, then I inhale it and get a better throat hit than I ever got with greensmoke. I get the best vapor from tobacco flavors, peach, and grape. I never could get good vapor with raspberry...dunno why. Also, Greensmoke dried me out really, really badly. I have not had that problem since switching. Also juices from a couple of other vendors dried me out...the mix that V4L uses agrees with me best. Anyway, I am lucky that my favorite flavors with V4L give me as much vapor as I got with Greensmoke, but with the added bonus of a throat hit, which I need. Once I tried the Vapor King and Greensmoke at the same time, I never picked my Greensmoke up again, so I sent it back. I hope you have good luck like I have. Also, I've been fortunate that I don't have too much trouble with the prefilled cartomizers. I have had a few that didn't seem to last as long; that could be due to what some people say is underfilling, but it definitely has been few and far between for me. I would never get Greensmoke again for myself. 50 bucks for a replacement battery? Yikes :D Oh, and with the manual batteries, I hold the button, wait for the 'sizzle' then draw in the vapor very lightly...I LOVE THEM. :D They almost 'feed' you the vapor :D

Make sure you are not at too high of a nic level. It varies person to person but a good feeling for it is 1 pack cigs/day is roughly equivalent to 16-24mg strength range in vaping.

I started with a GS, too. I believe it uses an E9 style battery and the cartomizer construction is a little different on the inside versus the KR808 style cartos like the VK. Yeah, it does put out a lot of vapor, probably to to a combination of the components and the type of juice they use, as Grib said. But, I have not used my GS since getting a VK - more variety, taste, quality, service, etc.

I also find that different V4L flavors provide more vapor than others, like RY4 and Vanilla.

Welcome aboard!

I appreciate the feedback and agree that it might just take some adjusting. I tried my blueberry cartridge and absolutely love it. Started with the 18mg on all of the cartridges and picked up some VG to add to existing carts to see if that helps. Can somebody direct me on inserting the V4L cig counter in my signature. Tried to find in my profile and could not figure it out. Thanks again. No cigs since Monday of this week. Yippee!

Each flavor has it's own vapor production. For me, Nuport has almost no vapor, but on the other side, Cherry has HUUUOOOGE vapor clouds. Adding a little glycerin should help, but keep in mind it'll cut the nic and flavor down a bit.

Also, just so you are aware. Kr808 batts are known for their TH over anything else. V4L has improved upon these batteries to give better vapor/draw/TH across the board, but there's still a better TH here that takes a little bit to get used to.

Also, also... :) You made a good decision in coming to V4L. A friend of mine let me try his Green Smoke before I ordered from V4L, and they just don't live up to my expectations over what I can get from V4L.

I came from GS, too, although just one day before switching to V4L. Yes, the GS vape clouds were big, but there wasn't much throat hit. No punch. The V4L gear was better in every other way, and the improved XL batts and new premium flavs have recently improved the vapor production to GS levels.

Our other posters here have it right:

*Choose flavs with more vapor--if that's what you prefer. Review other threads and ask questions about the types of flavs you prefer. Some flavs are vapor monsters while others are great for stealth vaping,

* Choose premium flavs, which usually produce more vapor. My Classic Caramel Mocha Frapp and Menthol cartos today are blowing strom clouds.

*Take slow and easy mouth hits before inhaling to reduce coughing and soreness, especially at first.

* Use a well charged batt.

Once you adjust to the new system, I doubt you'll look back. I didn't.
