yellow, you just got shorties, right? maybe in your next order you should throw in a regular or XL batt to compare. The battery life is a major plus!
hi clover, yeah i got the shorty value kit, since it was my first time buying and im a light smoker, i thought keeping initial trial costs low was a good idea, and if i like it, ill probably get the XL down the line because everyone here somes to love them
Ive never even gotten a shorty...just didnt seem worth it to me! the regulars barely cut it 
I ordered this kit myself when I started vaping. I wanted at the time something that looked like a cigarette and felt close to one so I got White with a Red LED. However since then I have ordered the bigger batteries in different colors and LED's, still havent gotten an XL yet.
I personally like the auto batteries just because i don't like messing with the button. I have a manual passthru though and i like it, but I rarely use it, I use my batteries even when I am home sitting at the computer.
It really comes down to what you like, there are ALOT of people that swear by the manual, I just like the ease of the auto personally and have never felt the need for a manual, especailly with the new diamond batteries that have a really great drag just being an auto.
oh I am so in love with these diamond autos. Its been super fun using them! still like my manuals though, they just seem more...reliable. but thats because I refill my cartos and Im scared Im gonna kill my awesome diamonds cus they are autos. I love both auto and manual, the manual I just trust a little more.
In the same boat as you Ms. Clover. The king diamonds are for my prefilled cartos, and are superb. The manuals are my go to's around the house and when I have my juice on me.

My black king diamond shorty with Delrin attached is my prized possession. Even with the shortened charge time.
