New vapor

Hi everyone,
I bought a bolt mod with extender 2 protected 18650 battery's, to vivi novas and juice. One of my battery's is already shot after 1 charge, I put it in the charger and it's already green. I Tryed jumping it for a couple seconds with an 9 volt but nothing. I bought my gear from a local shop. Both my vivi novas are trash. They both worked great for about one tank full but now they give off a awful taste. I did some research and found out they were knock offs.. Really disappointed when you help a local store with business and I get low quality overpriced gear. Now I think I'll order a clearomizer or a tank online. I want something that isn't going to give me problems or make your eyes water because a burning taste. Please help ASAP. The bolt is a fantastic mod though.
Thanks in advance

Rebuilding a wick and coil with cotton wick is literally a couple of pennies each.

If you fried your wick, you are not tilting your tank while vaping, or using it at too high a voltage. I doubt the latter is the case though, because i dont think you own a device that provides enough power to burn a properly tilted wick.

Always tilt the Novas to keep wicks wet with juice at all times.

I was having similar problems with my nova. I asked someone at a local shop and he advised me to cut back the rubber gasket in an arch right above where the wicks enter the atomizer. The cuts are MINIMAL but seem to prevent the gasket from being pushed down on the wicks when tip is screwed back down. I have gotten the flavor back and I have not had any issue with flooding the atomizer. Works like they did when I first got them.

I'm going to get a new clearomizer or try out a tank. I want one that has least amount of problems, I like to use 90% vg. I vape about 2 ml a day of 16 mg juice. My bolt mod runs at 3.7 v. I like my vapor clouds to be thick. Suggestions? My vivis gave me problems all the way through, starting with leaking. I don't want to have to buy one after another cause they don't work. A wee bit frustrated

Well, if the store sold you crap the first time, they might sell you crap the second one too. I'd question the quality of every product in that store if the ViVis were knockoffs.

But, yeah, I think the burnt taste might be because the wick wasn't properly wetted.

Never heard of jumping a 3.7 V battery with a 9 V. I wouldn't tell the shop guy you did that if you go back for a return.

Look around for recommended vendors through the site or ask for some and people here will direct you to shops that don't sell crap.

Barring leaking issues, most Novas (even knockoffs) work great.

If you have any issues other than leaking, most likely you are doing something wrong. And most likely buying some other clearos wont fix it.

Just tilt your Novas. You always have to tilt a clearo.

I own 3 Nova knockoffs and they still work after 2 months without replacing a head.
