Seems like less Metal Mesh to absorb the liquid and the chance of liquid dripping thru the other end easier.. Not really a new atomizer just seems like less Mesh inside

The mesh is 1.5mm taller than the old style and the washer they added covers the mesh around the bottom of the atty. So probably just as much mesh, just squeezed by that washer to stand up taller, just S.W.A.G. though.

I got some of these *NEW* ones from eastmall. I tell you, they are NO GOOD. Because there is no wicking material around the bottom, laying your ecig on its side will cause your liquid to leak and seep out b/t the cart and atty. No, I did not overfill or drip. It is true that the bridge goes further in the cart, so you do have to trim the poly a bit or it'll compress too much and wick poorly.

The performance is about the same as the *older* ones. Perhaps slightly better performance, but it could have been manufacturing variance between attys. But it will reduce your cart capacity due to the higher bridge, and it will leak fluid like crazy. You basically have to carry a napkin around with you everywhere to clean the mess.

Notice how the "older" design not just has a bridge that goes all the way to the bottom ring, but also has a wick ring on the outer perimeter of the chrome circle. The "new" one is bare all the way around. Topping off and dripping becomes a thing of the past.

I don't have a problem with the new attys. I've been using mine for the past few days so we'll see how they last. I don't drip and do wipe off the excess so I don't overfill the cart. The few things that I've seen is that the cart is a bit looser, so much so that I've had it fall from atty to exhale but that's been, maybe a few times since I got it? It does seem easier to draw from it but the atty is farther up into the cart....not a problem but it does seem to require me to top off more.

I really hate the leakiness of these new ones..

Not into the battery. Outside the cart, it does sometimes but that's probably because I'm not pushing the cart all the way down and overfilling it. But again, remember that it's only been about a week since I've been using them. I'll keep an eye on this and let you all know if I run into any issues with leakiness.

So, let's move this discussion over here, since the issue is more clear in this thread.

I've been told that these new atomizers are not manufactured by Joye. I don't know if that's true or not. Anyone at InnoVapor want to weigh in? Can we get any kind of confirmation that they're Joye product and not counterfeit?

I have emailed Eastmall about my purchase and they are rectifying it by sending out replacements + 1 additional atty after receiving my return. They knew about the problems I spoke of, and is going to send me the real ones.

Though I am not sure about who makes these "new" ones, I do know that all the atty's I have received from RuyanDirect and TW fit the carts well. These new ones are ill-fitting and do leak all over the desk.

The wick ring is still there, the washer lays on top of it and holds the shape of the bridge better.

You could be right, but it is not visible and does not seem to do its job. When laid on its side, if even half a drop of liquid touches that surface (washer), the liquid will seep out b/t the cart and the atty, leaving a line of juice on whatever surface you lay it. With the original atty's, I've never had that issue. Not when I drip and not when I top off. With these, even if I don't top off, it will leak unless the cart is pretty dry.

My money is on this being a replica.

It leaks 'cause the new atty is slightly larger (+0.15mm id) than the old attys.

My money is on a slightly different manufacturing process opening the tubing up more when they press the washer in. But WTH to I know. I'm just a bored unemployed guy with calipers a magnifying glass and way too much time on my hands.
