If there's no sign of those fiberglass fibers (and there doesn't appear to be) I'm sold too.
The fibers are just the wicking material that the atomizer coil wraps around. They won't impair performance if they're a little too long.

Seems like less Metal Mesh to absorb the liquid and the chance of liquid dripping thru the other end easier.. Not really a new atomizer just seems like less Mesh inside
I got some of these *NEW* ones from eastmall. I tell you, they are NO GOOD. Because there is no wicking material around the bottom, laying your ecig on its side will cause your liquid to leak and seep out b/t the cart and atty. No, I did not overfill or drip. It is true that the bridge goes further in the cart, so you do have to trim the poly a bit or it'll compress too much and wick poorly.
The performance is about the same as the *older* ones. Perhaps slightly better performance, but it could have been manufacturing variance between attys. But it will reduce your cart capacity due to the higher bridge, and it will leak fluid like crazy. You basically have to carry a napkin around with you everywhere to clean the mess.
I don't have a problem with the new attys. I've been using mine for the past few days so we'll see how they last. I don't drip and do wipe off the excess so I don't overfill the cart. The few things that I've seen is that the cart is a bit looser, so much so that I've had it fall from atty to exhale but that's been, maybe a few times since I got it? It does seem easier to draw from it but the atty is farther up into the cart....not a problem but it does seem to require me to top off more.
Notice how the "older" design not just has a bridge that goes all the way to the bottom ring, but also has a wick ring on the outer perimeter of the chrome circle. The "new" one is bare all the way around. Topping off and dripping becomes a thing of the past.
Yeah doesn't look like this one was made by Joye - You decide - forum link.
The wick ring is still there, the washer lays on top of it and holds the shape of the bridge better.
You could be right, but it is not visible and does not seem to do its job. When laid on its side, if even half a drop of liquid touches that surface (washer), the liquid will seep out b/t the cart and the atty, leaving a line of juice on whatever surface you lay it. With the original atty's, I've never had that issue. Not when I drip and not when I top off. With these, even if I don't top off, it will leak unless the cart is pretty dry.
My money is on this being a replica.
