Ok, so I got my 3VO in....YAY! Now for the problems...BOO!

1. I can't get the AW ICR 123 / 16340 750mAh Protected batteries to fit! Well, they do fit but are extremely tight! So tight that I am afraid I won't be able to get them out.

2. The battery compartment door came pretty scratched up. I was expecting a couple small blemishes because it was an opened item (or a la carte), but it looks like the top cover had been put on and off a few times.

Honestly, I can deal with the scratches but the fact that I can't fit the batteries in...that's a real problem. I thought that these were supposed to fit?

Oh and I love the Trustfire charger btw. Seems very well built.

Edit: Ok, so I can force the batteries in and it works. And, I can get the batteries out with a paper clip by shoving it through the bottom vent holes. My question is don't batteries expand a little bit as they warm up? So is it safe to use the device like this?

Thanks for your help.

First ime I put the AW ICR 750 bats in mine it was a snug fit, actually had to shake the tube upside down to get them back out. They are definitely a tighter fit than the 700mah that came with my kit but they work fine. Also, get some Noalox from your local hardware store and put some on the threads of the tubes. It will ease the possibility of stripping when screwing the battery tube and head together.

My new setup! I am definitely loving it so far. I will get some Noalox on my next trip. I can't turn mine over and shake the batts out...no matter how hard I tried. I insert two paper clips in the end and force them out.

It seems the batteries can be a tight fit on some of the battery sleeves. One of the guys here experienced the same issue you describe while I had no issues with my setup.. seems to be an inconsistant issue. While discussing this issue with him, he mentioned the battery sleeve loosened up after a week or so and the batteries began to slide in and out of the battery sleeve with no resistance.

This issue is new to me and I am unsure if letting the battery sleeve "break in" is a 'safe' solution.. I'll huddle up with the guys and see if we can figure something out.

Meanwhile, if you like, I can send you a new battery sleeve due to the blemishes and try to find one that fits the batteries better.

That would be great! Please PM me what you would like for me to do? Maybe a different sleeve would work better.

@jteezy and wv2win Thanks! Probably going to try making another tank that fits better...not a fan of the gap.

Ok... This is some voodoo magic. I've put several carto tanks and one of the stardusts on it and... It is a fantastic vape on everything I throw at it. I'm not sure how it's getting this much vapor and flavor. I swapped the tanks back and forth from some of my other devices set at 4v, and then back on the 3VO at the green 4v setting and I swear it tastes better and has a better draw than the rest of them. I guess the PWM must be heating the coils and the liquid up more evenly or something. I don't know, but this thing is awesome, and I'm comparing it to a bunch of different high end PV's. I'm really impressed.

Edit: For the record, I tried my Mark-T Infinity Atomizer on it (a rebuildable) and it works great so far. I know on the site it says it does not work with rebuildables. Is there a reason I shouldn't use it?

There is a DCT spacer made for the 5ml tank which may work for you.

I just looked at it. Thanks for the heads up. You gave me an idea for when I run this tank....I'm going to find/make a threaded adapter that will screw on where the top cap goes and then cut it to size. I know a guy that chrome dips for a living too. :)

Question, forgive me if it has already been asked....is there a surefire way to tell between V1 and V2? Does the V1 shut off after holding the fire button? I can turn mine off by holding the button but it takes more like 15 seconds.....any other ways to tell?

Thanks

Whoa!!! Talk about fast shipping, I placed my order at 09:37am and my order shipped at 12:37pm. 3 hours!! It only took 3 hours from filling the order to shipping it out!! That's crazy fast!!!
But, due to my location, which is Guam (in the Pacific), it'll probably take USPS about 7-10 days (Cali to Hawaii then Guam) till it gets to me.
Man, can't wait for it!! Time to monitor the tracking.....daily.....LOL!!!

Due to my hasty assumption (yeah, assumption is the mother of all f@&^ ups!!) I was under the impression that free shipping was Priority mail. When I checked the tracking it was sent First class mail. So that means it will probably take a little longer than 7-10 days to get to me.
Oh well, good things come to those who wait!!

We found out that all this time the V1 has had a shut off off, the same way the v2 shuts off... =X. I believe the threading on v2 has 2 different colors.. ie there is a ribbon of threading that has a tint to it (Where the battery sleeve connects) and the threading is a bit longer.
