Just wanted to say hi and thank everyone that contributes. I've been reading all kinds of stuff on here for hours. Learned a lot, and found some information that verifies that I'm not completely insane. Kinda feelin' good just about now.
So.....I ordered my first batch of supplies to make my own juice. I understand that straight VG is pretty thick. Haven't received my supplies yet so not sure how thick 'pretty thick' is. I'd like to make 100% VG juice. I'm not dripping, I use an iStick with Aspire K1 and Nautilus. So my question is this....what percentage of water\alcohol do I need to make the juice thin enough to use in a clearomizer/tank?
Why would I want to do that you might ask? I used to work for a company that recycled ethylene glycol (anti-freeze). The only way to get water out of glycol is distillation, or boiling it off. So the 'steam' if you will, you could taste it in the air, made your mouth dry, created a kind of film in your mouth. When I first started vaping I was buying 50/50. It had the same effect. thought I was nuts for awhile, or maybe just not used to the vaping. Did some research and found out about VG/PG ratios and the like, and since then, won't buy anything over 70/30 and try to stay closer to 80/20. I know some flavors are mixed with PG, but that will be an extremely small percentage of the final juice. Right now I'm just looking for a good starting point for the dilution percentage.
Thanks in advance for any help and HAPPY vaping!!
