So I'm still new to this forum and I had some questions about DIY juices. I've seen a lot of information (that has all gotten messed up in my head) and I need help clarifying what I actually need to make my own juice. I've seen TONS of pages where they have the nic base, the pg/vg, and the flavoring. I have to to limit the amount of PG that goes into my liquids because 50%PG and up, I have allergic reactions to. I have already bought unflavored 100% VG liquid with 6mg and 11mg strength. Is this 6mg and 11mg the already added nicotine, or do I need to purchase additional nicotine?

Thanks!

Yes, it's already added.

That is quite a low strength though. The flavour you add will dilute this strength further depending on how much it requires. Some need a lot (sometimes 20% for a concentrate), some just a little (1 or 2 drops even).

That's why a lot of people will buy a high strength Nicotine, say 50mg in whatever VG/PG base ratio you require (all in the same bottle), and dilute it with further with 0mg VG/PG and 0mg flavourings.

There is a calculator here that might seem a little confusing but is great for determining what you need.

Good luck!

EDIT: Can't post links. Google e juice calculator and it should be first.
EDIT 2: God I type slow.

I figured as much, thats why I got a little higher mg's than I want. Another problem that I'm having with the calculator apps is they want base nicotine, target nicotine, target e-liquid quantity (I know this one), water percentage and flavor percentage (also know this one)...but on the forums I've read, I've seen nothing about adding water...and I guess I just have to play with the levels and hope I don't end up poisoning myself haha

Some people add distilled water or even alcohol (usually vodka).

It can only be distilled water (and there may be more requirements tbh) and personally I buy it already in the VG (at 20%) as I feel more secure with it being done under lab conditions. But I have very limited experience (just 2 mixes).

It's not necessary though and you can change it 0% in the calculator.
