okay,how about a piece of thin foam or card board with elastic loops stapled on placed under the original foam inserts?So its thicker and tighter and the elastic holds everything in?I havent recieved mine yet,but would this work?

if you courld take the foam out (which I believe you can) that comes with it, install those elastic loops in the foam that would work.
I think i'm going to try that.

I just ordered one and now I'm a bit nervous. I use my normal case to carry 2 10440 batteries with 2 cartomizers next to them without the condoms in the battery slots, and I carry 2 more cartomizers in the cartomizer spot with the condoms. I also carry a pcc case with a back up battery and 2 more cartomizers and a refill kit as well. All this back and forth to work was annoying. I was hoping to only carry this xl case with 6 to 8 10440 batteries and 8 to 10 cartomizers and only have to carry that one case to work or where ever. I really hope that it works for what I need it to. The older case works, but there's not enough room.

yea you can carry all that, but expect them to NOT stay in the places you put them.
everytime I open my case, the carts are all over the place.
I recieved my new case day yesterday and must say it was disappointing.
First, packing it in the envelope style mailer allowed the post office to cram it in my PO box and crush one half into the other half. 8-oWhile I was able to open it and realign the halves, it is now marred and the hinge is weakened. Sturdier packaging is definitely needed. Second, nothing fits securely. The carts fall out when opening the case, even with the condoms in place. All the batt slots are loose fitting.
A couple of rubber bands around the inserts should hold things in place. I have seen elastic bands in the store sewing section that could work too. I just hate buying something new and having to fix it. Oh well, back to tinkering.

. I really am crossing my fingers as the batteries fit perfectly in the old case's battery spot, and the cartomizers I switch between during the day get left with no condom next to the 10440 battery. Thanks RPG, but I hope your wrong LOL

oh, I'm not wrong....your carts won't stay, believe me they won't
looks good.
the only thing I can see that's different is the top portion.
but, the carts will still fall out from the bottom portion if you shake it around. Unless you modded that also.
Great idea. After reading this post, I only bought 1 case on my last order. (I was going to get 3). I am not adverse to modding up whatever I want. I really like your mod. Thanks for the Idea.
My thought is this

Small "doors" inside the case stitched or glued or whatever to the middle then have a pull tab on top with magnetic closing similar to a cell phone flap magnetic cover. These would sit flush to the case foam preventing drops etc but still accommodate the items inside.

I say rip out all the foam. Glue Velcro "loop" on the bottom and top. Use a bunch of "hook" strips and then you can rearrange anything anywhere at any given time.
i don't know about anyone else, but i just took some material, very thin, and glued an extra 'strip' along the top edges of each groove for cart or batt.
like:
U <--- is where you'd slide in a cart, or batt. at each top edge of that "U", i added a bit of material so that when you sink your cart or batt down in there, it will hold it in better, as it's a bit of 'bulk' (albeit thin, so i can still pull them out) to keep things from falling out. i also just close it carefully.

looks sweet for the XL's actually I may have to pick one of these up with some XL's, this looks nice and sturdy
It's a shame they have to be modded, I really WAS looking forward to a case that held so much at the ready...to have to put condoms on the batteries, extra material in the carto slots sort of defeats the purpose of an easy go-to storage system.
No grab and vape here, it's quite inelegant and how can you feel proud to show off your V4L stuff?
I like the mod idea with the PCC, maybe same idea with loose/soft foam that "gives" so the stuff on the "top" side will stay secure...nice and slim, not so clunky.

I got mine today and I personally think it rocks ...I am still going to buy foam but it will be for making multiple inserts that can be changed for whaterver I need more of for the day..you know like 5mls extra carts or more batts and juice etc....removable inserts
