Truthfully I have not made any promissies to change any thing. If I can not keep a promise to my self. Then how can I except someone to believe and take my word. I don't have much in comparison. So when I say I am going to do something. It will be done. Don't want to take anything like that to the grave with me.

Yeah . . . I already know that 2012 is going to bring several major upheavals...I don't do upheavals well...

Don't worry about the Maya arithmetic thing. All it says is that time will end. Not the whole shebang!

Besides, they were off a little bit.

Those boys back in India made the little sub-particle go back in time and hit itself a couple of years ago, so time, at least as we know it, technically ended then.

From now on, it'll just be about making more little sub-particles go back - and forward - farther.

LOL, lolady. :) It has nowt to do with the Mayans. Death is stalking my mother, my last kitty cat, and then I get to move half-way across the continent (!).

Wish me luck.

HEY! I thought you were stalking me :(
I wish you luck El as I'm not crazy about crazy change either, though I should be used to it by now...

How do you know I'm not? After all, I didn't mention in which direction I'd be moving . . .:p

Thanks for the well wishes; I'm going to need them. When I say I don't do upheaval well, I am really NOT kidding. (Especially since I've been ill; both emotions and logistics simply overwhelm me. :()

Well I do wish your mother and your kitty the best of luck. And where are you moving? Near NY?

My resolution is to gradually extract myself to a large extent from the mind-controlling vortex of the virtual world; get off the 5 computers, away from the 6 TVs, avoid starting new games on all 4 gaming systems, leave my laptop, phone and tablet on the counter and get outside! I need to stop inviting the constant barrage of news - most of it is depressing, creates information overload, and leads to increased anxiety and societal discomfort. I also vow to stop checking and responding to voicemails and emails when I am home at night, before I leave for work in the morning, or on vacation - I have become a slave to my job and the grid.

I wish all of you a happy and prosperous 2012 :toast:

Sorry to hear Eleanor :( Good luck with everything! I hope we can lift your spirits a little while you're hanging out here!

Wow!! That sounds pretty difficult! Btw, ALL news isn't depressing. This is where I go when I get tired of all the doom and gloom of normal news stations: Happy News - Real News. Compelling Stories. Always Positive.
In case you were talking about personal news...sorry I have nothing for that.

Thanks for the inspiring link Harmony, you are correct, all news isn't depressing, just the news that's "convenient". Tired and weary people in this country are bombarded with bad news intentionally, modern mind control at it's finest.

I will revise my attitude according to your excellent advice :toast:

PS: And no, it wasn't personal news; I am very very fortunate and grateful for everything I and my family have. Besides losing my mother this year (very sad, but a blessing she finally passed away), 2011 could have been far worse.

El....I'll keep you in my thoughts. Keep me updated on the prospective move...I would love a chance to come down and visit you before you move East.

My goals for 2012 are to organize my household, simplify my life. I tend to make things a lot harder than they need to be, then stress out over it. I am very lucky...have a wonderful hubby, children and grandchildren..healthy parents and siblings, I really don't have any reason to be stressed out, except what I put on myself:)

My goal for this year is to figure out what to do with my life. I know that sounds huge, but I'm a baker/cake decorator and it's so stressful that I don't want to bake at home and it's what I love to do. I might go back to school, I might just try to leave my job for somewhere happier.

I also need more energy. I should start eating better.
