With the New Year fast approaching now seems like a good time to do a good deed (or 3) and be prepared to assist people with their resolution to "stop smoking cigarettes".

It seems like a it would be very easy to just be prepared when we go out this New Years to help people switch from smoking. Here are a few of my idea's for this.

1. Have 2-5 disposable E-cigs on hand to give to people.

2. If you have old vape gear that is still in good shape that you have outgrown (or ugraded out of) have that with you to give someone.

3. If you have a favorite B&M shop in your neighborhood just get some business cards from them (maybe get the owner to write a discount of some sort (10-20% or free bottle of eliquid) on the back for new vapors getting setup for the 1st time - they will be able to tell a noob - and will hopefully look at this as a way to build a customer base)

4. Print out some small sheets with the urls of websites of your favorite online vendors, this site, of course, and casaa. Do this if you are going to do 1 or 2 above also.

Be nice and polite, don't be pushy, (one year long ago I had a drunk stranger insist I quit smoking right now and destroyed a pack of cigarettes after which I decided he needed to quit drinking, and well, things kind of escalated from there)
If they don't want to try an alternative, ok, you can always give it to someone else to try.

Please keep these suggestions in mind

And of course please add any additional suggestions or ideas

have a Happy New Year and be safe please :toast:

I actually carry a couple of eGos and Evod heads that I use to give away to likely converts. I carry a couple of 10ml bottles of Dark Horse from HHV, too. I have given three of these set ups away so far. I know two of them still vape, one of them recently got a Vamo (despite my urging to make it an MVP instead). I always use the soft-sell approach as you suggest.

I like your thread. Let's get as many smokers as possible the information and equipment they need to make the choice to quit!

Happy Vaping, Dakota Jim.

I agree with Edd, nice sentiment behind the thread and a good reminder for us all to share the love.

I have converted one person at work so far, and I am always willing to talk about vaping to anyone who listens. I need to make sure I have a spare battery and clearo on me to give out though.

Great post DJ.
