Well yeah, one would think the few new wire TCRs could have been a firmware update. But don't forget the SXi-Q control system support (ie, yihi escribe).
Has there been any info on "SXi-Q control system"? I assume that it runs on another platform and talks to the SX, but it could just be a marketing term for something they did to the fw. Escribe is great, but it is not what makes the DNA200 a big step from previous models.

I haven't seen anything other than that splash screen for info. Considering their current Windows firmware software update application is call SXi, I am guessing SXi-Q is some sort of Windows application similar to escribe. I guess time will tell. It would probably be more ideal for it to be a mobile app, but who knows at this point.

Maybe they upgraded the temp mode output to DC and the old board can't be updated to do that, it is the only thing I can see so far that would really justify the expense new hardware. If they released fuller info we wouldn't be guessing.
Yes, some actual information on the board would be nice. Until then, we get internet speculation.

Doesnt make me tingle in the slightest, it would be a big upgrade if they made the thing halve the weight.
Doubt i will ever get used again to shoving 18650s in a mod.
Single 18650 or dual with it looking like a axe is a downer imho.
Looking forward to wat the chip actualy will be to, then it might be intresting for in a mod.
Should have made it modular while they where redesigning so it could take 2 18650s next to eachother. There is no way they like that extension tube themself.

Looks I was right about Yihi having abandoned further development of the M class firmware. The least they could do is give us one last stable release.
Really they still not got a stable full featured fw?

It is a genuine question, I got rid of mine as didn't think it was a patch on the DNA40 in temp mode, but know many people rate them higher and assumed they had improved the fw a lot.

Really? I have to see this barely 12 hours after I broke down and bought an M class? Jeez..

In my defense, my ipv mini2 had just diesd a horrible death, and I was wanting a nice mod to replace it, which I got. Was hoping for a firmware update to get at least an SS wire profile before they released a new one though. A TCR Adjustment seems like too much to ask for in a software update, but I wouldn't mind

60w is plenty for me. Its going to be rock solid and reliable and has options, thats whats important. The Dna200 has not had any upgrades to other wires I dont get that, what are they waiting for. It probably screen scrambles with titanium lmfao
The DNA200 doesn't need any updates for wires - you can set custom TCR curves for any wire now or that shows up in the future.

Would be nice to have the Q software being able to make the file for the J chip too. Nothing that can't be done since the "software" we send to the device is written in some kind of app......... So the next step is vaping on gold wire..... Have to call my broker and change some investments.....

Dna200 screen scramble? That was sooo dna40 ago. If you knew anything about the dna200 besides the name, there were quit a few firmware updates and they were deature add ons from requests. Try to request a feature from yihi. You can download custom tcr curve files from steam engine for any wire you wish to use. You can even tweak it to fine tune the accuracy of you like.

I have 2 DNA30s, 2 DNA40s and 2 DNA200 all of which have never failed to perform, one of the 40 has the screen glich, but it doesn't affect the vape so I have never bothered to change it. I have had 2 YiHi devices an IPV2 and an SX MinI M and neither was accurate.
No upgrades, 10 versions of firmware and 11 versions of Escribe since release, many for adding user requested features and you have always been to load TCR curves even for mix wire coils.

Takes TC to the next level...
Silver gold stainless steel nickel titanium?

Updates it to the current level :)

Glad to hear they're doing this, although a little sad it seems likely that they now won't bother adding SS/TCR to the original SX Mini M
