NEW YIHI SX MINI ML CLASS!

My ML won't be here till tomorrow. I told Windows 10 (64 bit) to install SXi-Q using the Setup .exe in compatibility mode. It was installed.

Running SXi-Q I clicked on update, clicked on Open File, opened ML_Class_V2203_20160114_SX Pure-English.SXI. On the SXi software it now says File Opened: ML_Class_V2203_20160114_SX Pure-English. Clicked on Upgrade. It says File Opened: ML_Class_V2203_20160114_SX Pure-English.SXI Please Connect to device before Upgrading!

So this should work without needing to jumps thru the hoops previously posted, right?

Your still need to go to windows start menu and use SXi-DriverStartup to install driver

Expect you will get an error and need to copy and paste the dll from the installation folder to windows/system32

After a few attempts on my own, and I am a computer geek, I couldn't get it to load the driver. Then I followed the directions exactly in their PDF file and it worked perfectly on Windows 10, x64. What a concept, following the directions...

Damn, they do need to take a lesson from joyetech on how to upgrade firmware!

I know one thing for sure.... Yihi needs to work on the update process. It should be a one-click operation, no downloading zip, extracting, install dll, and use SXi-Q software. Clunky as Pbusardo said...

Nope, did not do the work around as my Win-10 is 64 bit.... instructions say for some that are 32 bit install system32 drivers and usb....

SXi-Q is a 32 bit program, so yes you still need to install the drivers manually.

How many times did you try pushing the button 5 times? You have to push it pretty fast to get it to turn on.

Couple of things I am not sure of, it says copy the dll file to win32 system but it has a different file highlighted and it says pick the file based on your 32 or 64 bit computer mine is 64 bit windows 10then it says go back and run the installer in the SXiQ installer program and it has copy highlighted

I don't understand why this is so much more difficult then the M to install.

Now here is the big question are these really any better of a vape then the M.

It gives you more options if you use and want to memory bank in different attys, wire types, juices, etc. The processor is probably a bit better at measuring resistance realtime and also with 10 thousand's of precision instead of 1 thousand's in the M class. And don't forget that they won't be updating the M class any longer. We got a gift when they threw in the last update. The ML will be getting updates and refinements at least until the next one. Improvements are also in the paint, a little more ergonomic grip, and the battery cover, and I paid half of what I did for my M class.
