It's for telling the chip what the current room temp is at the time you lock the resistance... supposed to help make it more accurate.Manual doesnt describe in detail what Temp Compensate does exactly. So what do i do with it and what is the point of Temp Comp is??
Its auto set to 77f. I tried 70f and 80f and i dont see a difference.
p.s.
Currently i have set at 32J and 350F (Standard Mode), vape is smooth, flavourful and plenty of clouds. SS430, TCR-0.00138.
I tried 60J, but i get dry hit with in 2sec.

Only when you put an atty on and set the resistance... otherwise it's not used. Once set, doesn't matter where you go, what you do or what the temp is... only for setting the initial resistance on a new tank.So if im vaping outdoors and its 30F, i set the Temp Comp to 30F?
As soon as i hit the fire button, the coil heats up and the mod knows how hot the coil is. So im missing the point and the reason to manually set the Temp Comp.
Well spotted, Vapetime can shove it though at £30 more than any other colour!I have good news for all the people that wanted a snowy white ML. I found a vendor in the UK that has them. I also read that a rose and silver edition is coming out soon. The ladies should like that.

It has nothing to do with the temp of the coil - only the temp of the chip when it's detecting the resistance of a coil at unused/room temp.
Hehe, no worries... I'm sure someone else can explain it better, but lets try again.Arghhh... you lost me when you mentioned resistance. I understood what you said, but ones you mentioned "resistance", it all went out the window.
What am i not understanding??
Not trying to be a pain in the ...., but its seems more complicated than i anticipated.

So, when you put a new tank on the ML, you have to set the resistance, right? After the resistance is set, it asks for the Temp Comp, ie, the room temperature at that point. Once that's set it's done and not used until the next time you put a new tank on and lock the resistance in again.
If your house is 72F when you put a tank on and lock the resistance, you'd set it to 72F. If you were working outside or something, the mod had been sitting where it's 60 degrees and you needed to swap tanks, you'd set it to 60F. Once set, it makes it's calculations/knows what it needs to and it's not used until you put a new tank on and lock a new resistance.
In simple words the resistance of some wires (ni, ti, ss) changes as the temperature changes. When the temperature gets higher the resistance gets higher too.

i guess there is no onboard thermometer (like many tc mods I guess), so it lets you tell it what ambient is for base calibration. At least that is what I have always assumed!Very interesting information. So to be accurate Temp Compensation must be set manually and must be set for accuracy purposes. And if one does not use Temp Compensation or sets it wrong? I'm trying to get a better understanding so bare with me as I research.

to be honest one can pretty much guesstimate ambient temp right?? Close enough or at least, better than nothing!hum so one has to guess what setting to use and how does one know when it is the right setting?

That's almost $45 more for a different colorWell spotted, Vapetime can shove it though at £30 more than any other colour!
