Brief, relatively hip, almost entirely positive E-cigarette primer from no less than New York Magazine (not a single mention of anti-freeze or marketing to children). My personal favorite:

LOCATIONS WHERE ONE CAN LEGALLY SMOKE E-CIGARETTES
• Bars
• Restaurants
• Mayor Bloomberg’s office

Actually, Roly, your whisper was in the ear of Mr. deKoff's fact checker. When she contacted me to verify the number of posts on ECF currently, and in years past, I decided to sic her onto the guy who would know much better than I. That would be you.

Responsible journalism... wow i thought that went out of style as soon as people learned how to blog...

edit: you do realize this is a joke :) But I have always viewed the majority of journalists with a lot of distrust. It comes with the territory when a journalist can break news that gets people killed.

Elaine - yes and I was happy to be, um, sicked on. So journos on the NY Mag get a researcher? Wow. They don't even have to do any work any more. I could do a job like that :)

Mind you the results are a lot better that way - at least they get facts, instead of just re-churning old propaganda. Delia & Derek did a good (enough) job there. I thought D. de Koff was a joke name until I saw he has some articles there. Still think it's a pen name for that nice lady researcher though. Can't get my head around the idea a small feature writer gets a researcher.

Electricman is a creation of our team's intrusion on the QSMB forum. Just one of the little fallouts that result from forum wars. People think they are helping, but in the end they create more problems than they solve. Make love not war.

There are a few good comments on the article as well.

But WHO is this electricman? Pops up everywhere. Clearly has too much time, an obsession, and an axe to grind.

:)

He's not wrong. Zero nicotine is probably better for you than nicotine. But for me and the people on this forum that I know, those aren't the options we are choosing between. My options are nicotine in a cigarette loaded with carcinogens vs. an electronic cigarette.
