Received mine just now and threw a quick single coil build on. Here are my early observations:

-very tight build space; no more than 2.5mm id coil
-thing leaks like a sieve when top refilling even with airflow closed
-airflow pretty restrictive due to the airflow being partially blocked by your coil
-flavor decent

Not quite happy with this tank so far, especially after it was billed as leak proof.
Gonna play around with it with different build and wicking to see if I can get it to not leak during refills. No juice flow control and topfill so far seems like a big mistake by ud so far

Been using mine for about 3 weeks. The leaking issue when you will it means you're not using enough cotton. You need THICK cotton tails - thick as in, you struggle to pull them thru the coil. And they need to be short enough to just sit under the little shelf lip.

I know, this thing is tricky. But it's tricky because it has massive juice channels. Which is a good thing for us that use 90% VG juice. Once you figure it out, it's a dream. This tank is all I've used since I got it last month. Such a fantastic tank.

It's seriously that good. My mini-review/thought write up is here somewhere in the RTA section for those that wanna read up on it. You're gunna love it. I'm not sure what tank you're coming from, but this shouldn't disappoint you.

It's very important to note, as I said earlier, if you don't use enough cotton in those wick channels, you'll have pressure issues when you top-fill, guaranteed (when you pop the top off, you're losing your vacuum). The liquid will just push right past the cotton tails and go right out of the airflow holes.

I'll also say that after you top-fill it, a little bit of gurgling is to be expected for the first 2 to 3 pulls. It's not because it's flooding, it's because the wicks are super juiced up and so close to the airholes - no biggie.

I've read your review on it also I've read many others. I'm coming from the Zephyrus so I know I'm in for a little bit of frustration while figuring it out

Maybe this will help ya! Pictures are always nicer. Lol. Very thick and short! No dry hits, small gurgle on a refill, no issues.

Sounds like it needs wicked like the Lemo 2, which has been my daily workhorse for a while now. I can count on one hand after an imaginary chainsaw mishap the times it's leaked on me in spite of still seeing people complaining about it leaking, and all I needed to do was watch a single Youtube video of some guy showing how he wicked his :). Leaked my first try because I was too cautious and didn't tighten the tank enough, no vacuum and that was total mess :w00t:. Leaked once on a hot summer day after leaving cool AC, nothing too bad. Leaked once when I was half asleep and didn't close the air flow ring while I was filling it, not too bad either. Beyond that it's works like a champ day in and day out... but now I wait for my Bellus :D

Waiting for 101Vape to get me my Bellus. If it works anywhere close to as good as the feature sheet, I expect the Lemo 2 to become something for me to experiment with building a vertical coil on before getting retired to backup status. At least on paper, the Bellus fit every single thing I was looking for in a tank upgrade minus Velocity style posts, but I can certainly work with deck it has. Even the earlier detractor's complaint you would be limited to 2.5mm ID coils is fine for me, it's what I use all the time.

Really looking forward to a deck I can get to without disassembling the tank and the side airflow which will eliminate my biggest headache with bottom airflow RTAs, trying to get the coil height "just right". Even when I think I have it perfect, I'll tighten the coil and then find it's now a redwood in a forest of spruce, then I adjust... and, farkenblag, leg broke from too much fiddling

I feel your pain! I gave up on my Lemos long ago. Just wasn't for me. Couldn't get my wicking right so they got replaced real fast.

The build I've had in my bellus the whole time I've had it is 0.29 ohm, 24ga 2.5mm ID. No problem and very little fiddling to get it to work.

i did attempt a 3mm ID 24ga and it did work but it was so tight in there it was killing airflow. Took a good deal of patience and fiddling. Wasn't worth the outcome lol. Be it can be done. I just wouldn't suggest it at all and it's really not necessary these days in an RTA (IMO).

I figured the leaking was due to the wicking, and looking at peta's pictures I definitely didn't have enough cotton.

Peta what id coil are you building for this tank? I'm having an issue with the coil restricting the airflow. Again it could be that I threw a clapton coil with 2.5 id on there which basically blocks the entire airflow hole.

Thanks for posting petabread, was really discouraged with my initial build on it. Now i know I just need to fiddle around with it a bit more.

Right behind you...
It's basically the same deck as the Goliath V2, sans the bottom airflow. With Claptons, depending on the inner/outer gauges you work with, you'll need to step down to closer to a 2mm ID, because (obviously) in cross section a 2.5mm Clapton is much larger in diameter/actual volume than a 2.5mm single strand.

You can also try building closer to the posts, and, higher, almost to the top of the posts, that should give you more room to work without risking shorting, and free up the airflow some, without too much impact on flavor. If you look at Petabread's picture above, and imagine the bottom of the coil is where the top is in his pic, and the coil is almost touching the posts, you'll get an idea what I'm talking about.

You're pretty much spot on. The only problem with raising the coils higher tho, is if you do that, then your coils won't be aligned with the airflow slots. You've got to drop the coils down a good bit to get them directly in front of the airflow. I notice I get a harsher vape if my airflow doesn't line up with the coils.

In my picture there, I actually should have dropped those coils a bit - I was in a hurry the other day and never readjusted them. I'd suggest to build it first, pop it in the tank and see where the coils line up and do your adjustments - then wick it.

Also, I've got a 24ga build in mine, 2.5mm ID pushed up close to the posts. Anything larger than that will kill airflow. I'd say Croak is right, try dropping your Claptons to a 2mm ID, that's what I would do if I was patient enough to do Claptons again lol.

I'm planning to put Claptons in this. I did coil surgery to get them in my Cthulhu v1 :)

First build though may be single coil and higher resistance to see if it can tootle. I've been trying to help those folks find new things as they are feeling the manufacturers are dumping them on the side of the road. And especially if they can't get coils in the future for their clearos and need to build.

I've seen one SC's RDTA users comment on SC vs Bellus, I would like to see more. Roxynoodle and Super K, I'm looking at you! :D
I'll post my meager findings once I get the Belus, but Roxy is a much more seasoned vaper who can probably relay subtle differences better than I.

I placed a second order with 101 for two orchid v4 on clearance and got them very fast, pretty sure they are simply waiting on their shipment to come in.
I've had good results ordering from them as well. However they must have their stock shipped to them via manatee.
