Received my ss430 from Unkamen today.
Now I torch my wire before building because if it's going to change shape when it heats I want it to happen before I coil it. Also I want to give it a chance to anneal if it's going to. Given that the wire was much more malleable than I expected. I was expecting springy like Ti but it was more malleable than I remember kanthal being, but not as much as ni200.
7 ugly wraps around a m4 (I think) machine screw, dual coils give me 0.33 ohms. Using Ti mode on my VTC at 230f. Works good so far.

There's no need to space stainless, unless you just prefer a spaced coil.
Decided to put the Bellus on the IPV d2 in TC mode and its vaping nice and smooth and not as hot. Went through a tank quickly,refilled and slowly screwed the cap on only to have it leak bad out of the airholes,frustrating.
How good is 317l stainless? Was about to order some 26ga to try.

Correct. Spaced coils seem to make better flavor for me, and contact coils gum up in about a day with the juice I use. Contact coils sure do look pretty though.

Finally got the Pre-order in today. Very nice machining fit and finish. Impressed!
Tried my usual build that I use on the KayFun's. Nope, can't let the tails touch the deck. Already read that here, but still wanted to see for myself. Leaked like a sieve. Put shorter,and fatter tails in, and doing fine now. Does leak some on filling, but not much. And will piddle a bit when lying down on the desk. But very little. Wish the Air Shutoff worked for laying it down, but it got liquid between the ring and the tank, which leaked out when it was opened.
Flavor is very good. But getting a little off flavor. Could be fuzz from the KGD, but I doubt it, as I always flash burn it to get any free lint gone after the wick is saturated with fluid.
I did a good boil and soak with water and Dawn, but will do it again, with a good scrub.
The Veritas had the same problem. Took more than one cleaning. LOL
As far as flavor goes, it is "Very Close" to the Veritas, which is well known for very good flavor. I really didn't expect it to be anywhere as good as the Veritas dripper.
I only have a Provari 2.5, so no sub-ohm'n for me. Only thing I had was 28 ga, so 12 wraps, 2.5mm dual coils for 1.0. Flavor is very good so far. Have to run the AC at 1/2, or the vape is too cool for me. Just not enough power in the Provari to do better. A shame. Wish they would step up! Love the dependability of it. Had it for several years now, with zero issues.

Found a BIG GIANT CON with the UD Bellus.
The post with two insulators on the deck IS NOT secured to the deck, there is play in it.
My post has slight play in it and the resistance jumps around here and there. Especially when setting up the coils -resistance moves around. Example - using one of the coils that came the Bellus - I get anywhere from 3.0 ohm reading jumping around, when steady pressure applied to post, I get a steady .9 ohms reading.
Can't figure out why they designed it this way or what I'm doing wrong?

The Bellus did the same thing to me
The flavor was never satisfactory to me and vaped for a while and ejuice was all down the side of the tank and my mod. However I found another home for it. Jon S had two functional hands and can tighten and loosen the top fill and he uses it with no leaks and he is a very happy Vaper.
The Bellus doesn't leak if it has a decent vacuum. I just couldn't use it because of the dupeodens contracture in my left hand.
From my experience the Goblin Mini has better flavor than either the Magma or Veritas clone I had.
The GMini and Kayfun Nano had such good flavor that I stopped Dripping
The two best flavor RDAs I used was the Freakshow Mini and Rogue. The GMini was equal to those and the Kayfun Nano was a little behind the Freakshow Mini and Rogue.
I only found one dripper with better flavor than the GMini and that was the Darang.
Found out also that it´s only press fitted in place.
I took positive post off and pressed it so the hole got tighter and out of it round shape a bit.
After that I pushed it in place using vise. Lets see how it holds up.
I'm very disappointed to find out the post is only being held in place by pushing it on to the insulator. What were they thinking.
Post is not press fitted on, it is being held in place by pushing it onto the insulator and nothing else. MY FIX = made a tighter fitting by using some 30 ga wire feed it though outer whole that's all insulator and twisted and cut then push the post back in place. This way if it works I can do it again and again. So far resistance is stable at .8 ohms.
It's a shame because - this is the only negative I found but it to big of an issue to just live with - I'm impressed with everything else I was loving it until I came across the post being pushed on to the insulator ONLY, what were they thinking.

2mm 26g/36g claptons fit fine. but I found that 26g dual parallels work much better, way better flavor and vapor production.
I thought the airflow was really tight. I like my coils right on the airflow slots for best flavor so I took a small file set which can be found at lowes for about $10 bucks.
I run this tank at around 75-80 watts with no issues at all.
Wicking is Rayon. not too tight cut very short and fluffed. I only fill the top ledge thats all you need for this tank and it will be bone dry.
Top filling works great with no leaking. You just have to go slow on the refill and do not overfill becuase it will pressure the juice out the bottom.
if you do you will get a small amout of leaking, but wipe away and take a few hits and you are all set.

One thing I didn´t like was that the coils were so close to the chamber walls but now I think I can fit bigger coils without problems

To the guys that are bugging out about the positive being press fit like the atty is completely broken now, y'all do realize that this is using the exact same deck as both of the goliaths right? I have never heard of anyone having actual problems with it, not even months down the line. I have never once had an issue with play any of the goliaths even when putting in huge builds and tightening them down to the extreme, not even the slightest movement. If yours came loose then it is a QC issue that slipped by and you should contact the vendor you purchased from.
UD is actually pretty damn good at providing replacements to vendors so if the place you bought from are not dicks they should replace it for you. Last time I had an issue with the goblin v1.2 I purchased I simply took pics and sent it to the vendor who then sent them to UD. They let me keep the first one AND shipped me a replacement free of charge. Wanna know the fault? A crooked airflow ring, that is it. I am sure they will replace it for an issue like this. All I know is that if the Gv1& 2 and the Bellus can have some of the most stable TC readings of my RTA collections, then there is clearly nothing wrong with the connection design.
Fact is that with mass produced products some duds will sneak by even the the best QC. I am still in the review process for the Bellus (I don't review an RTA until I have at least 2 weeks of use with it) and I have yet to have even the slightest of issue with the connections, sorry to hear that you have had an problem but it is clearly not some type of rampant design flaw but rather a QC bung up. If this was some major flaw clearly more people would be having issue with it which is not apparent in the users of this thread nor my experience. Using TC is pretty much the ultimate connection gut-check and my experience with both 430ss and ti01 have been flawless on the Bellus.
On another note; I am glad to see that people saw how easy this atty is to mod as I did. I bought one specifically to mod as they are so cheap, and 5mins later with a dremel/ needle files and I have the max airflow you can get out of a 510 drip tip RTA/RDA. Pretty insane. It is so easy that legitimately anyone who wants to can do it, I really did not even need the dremel and could have easily just done with the needle files. I have brought my modded one up to the highest wattage in a mod I have right now (150) and it handled it without issue.
