I read here for a few days...but so much to choose from...and so many opinions...so I just said screw it and decided on the V3 Vapors Standard Starter Kit White from vaporus....I think for me it is the habit that is the hardest thing to kick..so I wanted something roughly the size of a 'real smoke'...though I do enjoy my nicotine also no doubt....been smoking almost 18 years of 32 now...and I had a friend/colleague using an ecig and it seems to be helping her a lot...so I thought for 50 bucks it was worth a try....

Ooops, sorry Miss SangFroid, i was just trying to help you out! But ya tell us more about your order, and your experience if any with vaping? We are a cool bunch in here, there's so much ppl that will be pleased to answer all your questions! Enjoy your vape :)
lol..I thought after I responded I should have said thanks for the posting tip ...wouldnt want to have to so 'start all over' :D I have never vaped cigs...and am a complete newbie to the world of cig vaping...reading through here makes me worried that it will be too much 'effort' :/ I work all day and smoke outside at home ...so my cigarette intake averages between 1/2 - a pack a day....hopefully this will help me cut back...as I said above...for me the habit is the hardest part ...so I am hoping this will help with that...

I started with a "cig" type e-cig a couple of years ago and stopped using in a week or two. (the Blu). I know that there are people who prefer them, but I don't recommend them. This time I bought the ego-c and I'm loving it. I thought the same as you. That I needed something that felt like a cig to help me quit.

When I bought the ego last week my intention was to wean myself off of the cigs. Well it didn't quite happen like that. I had 3 cigs the day I got the ego and I haven't had one since!! In the first day analog cigs smelled and tasted nasty!! I couldn't believe it!!

I'm not saying that you won't like yours and I hope you do! Congrats on your first step in quitting!!

There's no reason you can't vape in the house. I used to smoke outside because my wife has a bit of asthma but vaping doesn't bother her at all. Even if you you cut just a few cigarettes a day out you will still live longer and save some money.

It should be enough to let you know if vaping might be for you at the least. There are a few opinions on here though and it can be tough for someone new to figure out what means what. What flavors of juice did you order?
Dekang Juice: Dumay and Benson and Hedges...I usually smoke dumaurier and/or native dks...so I was aiming for something 'similar' in flavour :)

I am hoping if I stick with the smoking outside it will help in the actual quitting aspect....as thats really what I am aiming for...I am definitely one of those habitual smokers...coffee..driving...after eating...its the first thing I want...even if I just had a smoke...so I think for me the nicotine will be the easier part of it to kick...or I am at least hoping lol ...but youre right about the healthier aspect too I am sure! :D

If I may. I went that familiar route when I started too. It didn't work for me. I ended up finding satisfaction with a flavor that was completely "too dang weird to every be worth a bean" before I knew that I could make the switch to vaping.

So if the flavors you have coming do nothing for you, satisfaction wise, then keep an open mind and try some other flavors that are completely different. What you think will work seldom does and what does work is usually a surprise.

Good luck with your vaping journey!

You are also just a server reset away from being able to post in other sub-forums. (Usually doesn't take more than an hour tops.)

The V3 from vaporus is a KR808 automatic battery and the starter kit comes with cartos. That's three important things to know when you start your vaping journey and also when you want to buy bits and pieces. It comes with a 280 mah battery unless you upgraded, so you will get roughly 3 hours between battery charges. It's a decent priced kit so you weren't overcharged, but it only came with one battery and a USB charger. You might want to order at least 1 more battery right away, and maybe a wall charger, or you will be very tempted back to analogs and, frustrated besides, while you wait for your battery to recharge between uses.

Hi there and welcome to the forums. Great to see you are prepared to give it a go. As long as you have an open mind, don't mind a bit of research and some experimentation you will find a setup thats no more hassle than analogues and gives you a great experience.

I'm no sigmund freud but the habit part of your smoking is linked to nicotine addiction. Your brain will associate all those things you do with the feeling it gets from nicotine. Breaking your regular habits and filling the time you would spend smoking with something completely different often helps. If you see vaping as a means to an end to give up then you can also keep lowering the nicotine levels in your juice.

Of course everyone is different. However you plan to get away from analogues I wish you every success.

Thanks so much for the tips...I am so grateful to have found this forum....I imagine that it will really help that so many have experienced and are experiencing the same 'journey'... so to speak...and I will definitely consider the extra battery as I dont want to be frustrated on top of frustrated!!
