kGo and e-Power (Smoketech version) are my top 2 recommendations. e-Power can have an 18650 battery. It doesn't get more battery life than that. There are Panasonic 18650s with 3100mah. Both are excellent choices and ideal starters. Throat hit is a function of the juice, not the device, as long as you get decent voltage. The e-Power also has a smaller version that takes a 16450(?) battery. Still good battery live, but a little less bulky than the 18650 version.

There are two analog looking models that are not too bad. One is the Volt, (smokelessimage.com) other is the Bloog. They're very similar. I hate analog looking ecigs, but if someone put a gun to my head, those are ones I would choose. You may get recommendations for the V4L or V2 or others. Before you put much stake in these, ask how long the person has been vaping, how much they smoked and if they have ever tried anything else. Virtually all the experience vapers who stuck with an analog lookalike more than a few weeks or months recommend the Volt.

Can't help you with the Canadian juice. If you want unflavored juice, I recommend just mixing it yourself. You can make it pretty cheap. There's only 3 ingredients, after all. You can add a 4th (about 5% pure grain alcohol or vodka) for some throat hit. Get everything you need, except the alcohol, at Myfreedomsmokes.com or any number of other DIY stores. If you're not too good at math, free e-juice calculators are available online. I use "E-juice me up".

Flavored juices are so subjective it's ridiculous. You're just going to have to get samplers and try different vendors. Go to the vendor list, check the sales on the "deals" pages. Best deal going now is Goodprophets.com 10ml bottle for 0.99 with no limit. You can't make it yourself much cheaper.

Now, you can sit back and wait for the Provari fanbois. They'll be along shortly to tell you how you should spend $225 on the greatest PV since the invention of vapor.

thank you sailorman for the advice, the kgo and epower seem like great devices will be hard to choose between them.I will check out the volt for sure.

just like real cigs it took me time to find the right flavor and sounds like it will be the same for juices.their are so many juices which is great but at the same time can be a little overwhelming as where to start.i plan to try some nic ones, flavored and unflavored. This may sound stupid but is their a thing as all natural juices you can make on your own? using real food aka, fruits and stuff?

thnx for helping... this is gonna be fun

I wouldn't try using stuff like real fruit juice or anything. That would probably cause big problems for your coils and you'd lose the taste anyway.

There is an e-juice company that uses only organic flavorings. VirginVapors.com

There are also flavoring companies that sell organic flavors. There is a discussion about natural flavorings in the DIY e-juice forum and a well respected chemist around here had some good arguments why they're probably not a particularly good option. I don't remember the exact reasons. He started to get a bit technical and MEGO, but the takeway lesson was that it wasn't worth the trouble, plus the flavors were weak.

You can certainly make your own juice. I do it all the time. I'm vaping homeade pomegranate, watermelon and strawberry tart juice right now. It's pretty fun and not difficult at all. O.K., it's difficult to get stuff as great as some of the premixed juice, but anyone can make pretty decent juice, especially if you don't try to get too exotic.

The choice between the e-power and kgo should be easy. The main difference is that the epower can take a generic battery and the kgo is disposable. The epower (the Smoketech brand, not the eGo brand) also has a replaceable switch. All the eGo type of PVs, like the Vgo, kGo, GoGo, Riva, etc., are disposable sealed batteries. You get 2 of them in a starter kit, but when they wear out, usually in 4-6 months or so, you replace the whole unit for $14-20. When an epower battery wears out, you go get another one for $6-10. Same situation with the switch. Other than that, they work the same and look nearly identical.

sounds like the e-power is the route to go, is that AA recharge able camera bettery in that thing? wow that would be convient.the only thing i am worried about is the switch as it seems alot of people have reported some issues with it.

in terms of vapors that look like real cigs, i know vaping is totaly diffrent then smoking and am sure is why most people don't like the looks of fake cigarettes.Honestly i like the look of some of those cheap ones that have the bown filter and paper look with the the little orange light at the end.Are their any decent models that look like that?

The e-Power uses rechargeable lithium-Ion batteries like pretty much all larger e-cigs do. It comes with 2 batteries and a charger in most kits. The number on the battery designates its size. An 18650 is 18mm in diameter and 65.0mm long. A 16450 is 16mm dia. and 45.0mm long.

The switch issue has been rectified in all the newer e-Powers. It was an issue that happened in extremely cold conditions, nothing to worry about anymore unless you get an old stock unit. You might want to ask the vendor to verify it's the updated version.

Depends what your definition of "decent" is. There are only a small handful that are worth a nickel, but I don't consider any of them decent except for use as a backup, or for occasional use, or for people who smoked 1/2 pack a day or less. The ones that are semi-decent don't have that "just like a cigarette" look. They're roughly the size of a cigarette, but not white/brown. The Volt and the Bloog Fusionmaxx are two, and there may be one or two more, depending on who you ask.

Correction: The smaller E-Power is the E-Power 14650, which uses a single rechargable protected 14650 Li-ion cell. The 14650 cell (battery) is the same diameter as a common AA 1.5V battery, but is about 3/4" longer.

The 14650 is a very nice battery at 1050mAh capacity. I can buy these for $7 per pair. I used to smoke 1.5 packs a day. A 14650 will last me 1.5 days between charges with a 1.7 ohm LR XL carto, and a full two days with a 2.0 ohm LR XL carto with the E-Power 14650. Your mileage may vary, of course.

I would only us a fake loooking cig vary rarely but would be nice if i could get one that looked like a real cig, corporate offices can be a lil stuffy with attitudes. So this would be a once a week type of device for me when i am corporate head quarters for a 3-4 hours then i will be back to the e-power / kgo .

So e-power does not use AA rechargeable batteries?

Any recommended vendors for e-power or kgo that sell for a good price and good shipping rates and speed?
