I know these questions have been asked and answered somewhere on this forum, but I can't find them. My search terms are probably off.

I 1st bought an njoy. Wasn't really happy as the "smoke" was not consistent. 2 or 3 good puffs and there was no smoke anymore.

I then bought from .e-cig.com in china. Turned out the device was the same as the njoy (although it seems a little better at delivering smoke).

Questions:
1. Am I doing something wrong? I just don't get smoke after 3 to 5 puffs. I do fairly hard draws with real cigs, taking the smoke into my mouth then inhaling it. I have tried this and direct lung inhaling. The smoke is just not there.

2. The atomizer gets warm after a couple deep hits. Normal? This happens w/both the NJOY and e-cig, so I assume it is.

3. I need smoke and taste to equal real cigs. Any recommendations? I have seen e-pipes aned e-cigars, and while this is not necessaliy to my taste, if it deliveres the smoike I'll try it.

Thank you for any help.

You won't find a device that is close to 'smoke and taste' really- some devices are better- but none deliver exactly.

Sounds liek somethign is wrogn with your NJoy Atomizer- contact hte company right away and get a free replacement- the guy is a good guy to deal with and will most likely not have a problem replacing the atomizer for you

Yes, atomizers get warm, but don't let them get too warm- adjust your smoking technique to keep the atomizer cool to warmish, but not too warm

ok... its been a while for me, but i'm gonna get to posting again. First off, yes, there is something wrong with your e-cigs. I had the same problem with my njoys and i had the atomizers replaced. After the third one, i just asked for a refund; perhaps the new model is better, but from the sound of it, not much. Next, it is normal for the atomizer to get warm/hot because that's how it heats the propylene glycole to produce vapor. We generally recommend that you don't let the atomizer remain hot because it may crap out on you. Finally, yes you can have the taste of a real cigarette. I don't care what anyone on these forums tells you about "oh its a different animal" and what not. If you do it right and you have the proper devices, you will get the same burn or hit in your lungs like a cigarette. In fact, my devices feel much stronger than marlboro reds, but without the nasty cotton mouth. The difference is in the strength of the nicotine. E-cigs won't give you the rush, but after a few days of use, it doesn't matter because you don't need as much nicotine for your "fix." Nicotine is out of your system in 3 days. FYI, I use myecig brand cigs and the e-cig from e-cigsales.com. Currently, i'm all over the super mini cig from myecig. I haven't used sedansa or janty or ruyan. I got something i'm happy with and I haven't gone spending money on anything else. I had a dealextreme cigar and an njoy... both were unsatisfactory. I've been using e-cig.com's liquid... mainly flue cured, but alot of regular as well (highest density). I haven't had a regular cig in about 2 months and that's simply because I have good devices that perform like they're supposed to. Now, as with all things, you are not guaranteed to get the perfect e-cigs your first try. It will take a little effort to find the right piece and the right liquid and draw technique to make you happy. But, with that said, you won't regret shifting to e-cigs if you can manage to stay with them exlusively for a week or two. You won't want another real cig because they taste and smell like a donkeys... .... ... sweaty..............neck lol. One more word to the wise, clean your damn atomizer every few days or at least when you aren't getting good performance. Rinse with warm water and blow dry for a couple minutes. You'll be surprised at the difference it makes.

Thank you for your replies and suggestions. I have emphysema and MUST quite smoking, so I'll keep looking, testing and buying till I get it right.

Don't give up hope yet... As many people have suggested on this forum including myself, try a longer slower drag. You have to remember these are not even close to cigarettes in the way they smoke.. There are some similarities but for the most part you have to retrain yourself on how to smoke e-cigs.
