Hi, I am new here and hope someone can answer a few of my questions. I am a 30 yr smoker and very much want to switch to e-cigs. Since I have little knowledge I chose to buy Green Smoke online (only 2 pieces to the e-cig and very easy). I got different nicotine strengths, etc. My problem is that I've tried it twice and I keep getting this heavy feeling in my lungs (especially my right side) after vaping. I am not a deep inhaler, never smoked over a pack a day, so I don't know if I am doing something wrong or what. Is this normal? Part of the adjustment? Should I try something that produces less vapor? Any input would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks.

Hello MG1963 and Welcome to ECF there could be a few things with the problem your having you could be have a reaction to PG if that is what is in the carts that came with the green smoke. But when I first started the first couple days I had about the same feeling but it went away. May want to try it for a few more days see if it lessens.

Welcome to ECF! You might find this article helpful:

Understanding Your Symptoms While Switching to Vaping

You should also take a look at some of the other stickies for new people at the top of the forum. Since you have Green Smoke I would advise you to NOT purchase replacement batteries or cartomizers from them. They're way overpriced. You can refill your own cartomizers at a fraction of the cost and have a greater variety of flavors. Replacement batteries and cartomizers can be purchased at LeCig.com.

Just FYI, I started with Green Smoke and was quickly disappointed in them, but I was a heavy smoker and the small battery just didn't cut it for me. It might work for you, since you wrote that you didn't smoke over a pack per day. If you find that it isn't doing the job, you might want to also check out Mistress Nomad's videos for new people:

I am a newbie of about 30 days. I had the very same problem my first day as well. I read here and learned that I could not "inhale" like I did on my analog, for the first couple of days. I learned that if I inhaled into my mouth, held it there and then exhaled, it worked. By day 3, I was able to do the full inhale and exhale. There could be other factors as well, but try this and see if it gets easier over the next 24 hours. If not, come back and there will be help for you. I agree with the others as well, read, watch, listen and learn. It only makes all this a much better experience.
