Once you have the hardware it is very inexpensive compared to analogs. The cost up front is all in the hardware.

That is what I am hoping for! I bet many feel that it is crazy expensive at first. Hmm I think I read a couple of posts about people feeling the burn of the intial cost.

Hey there Mom, Welcome to the forum. At $4 a day, you are either a very light smoker or you have access to cheap smokes! I was looking at a $10 a day habit, so I have saved over a thousand dollars so far. This forum is a great place to help you save money. Watch for the sales from the various suppliers. Join the Pay It Forward group and you can try out different juices just for the cost of postage. Like others have said, as long as you don't go crazy with equipment you'll be okay. I limited myself to $100 a month in the beginning and now get by on maybe $60. I vape a lot, so your costs may even be less. Good Luck and let us know how it goes.

Hiya, The Fool. In my area Marlboros are about less than $6 per pack. I smoke generics at less than $4 per pack. I did use a coupon for my vapor 4 life order and saved $30. I didn't have a coupon for my cignot order. After I placed it I found a place seeling the ego for $10 cheaper.

Fortunately, you chose two really good PV's to start with. This alone will save you a lot of money and frustration. Here's a couple tips for saving a buck or two vaping:

*always look for a coupon whenever you place a new order. Just google the name of the company and the words 'coupon code', half the time (or more) there's an unadvertised coupon out there you can use to get a discount.

*consider DIY juice (mixing your own). You don't have to try it now, but just watch a video about it or something - I think the big savings is in DIY juice.

Have Fun!

Thanks for the input. I see you remembered something from my newbie post :) I didn't find a coupon for Cignot but I did for Vapor 4 Life.

I finally sat down last night and figured out what I have spent. Dang! lol I started vaping/ordering the week of 9/6/10. I have spent $500!!!!!!! But, I have not smoked even 1 analog. I have exactly 33 (1 pack + 13) cigs in my freezer for just in case. So I would have spent about $250 on analogs in this time to last til next payday. That makes me down $250. BUT I have also gave my sister my first 510 kit and she has almost quit analogs and that is priceless. :D
I'm not allowing myself (i.e. don't have any $$) to buy anything until next payday (2 weeks away). Then I am going to budget $75 a payday. hehe Yeah right. lol

I thought the money I spent was a lot. What did you buy for $500? I agree with the budget thing. That will help quite a lot.

As a noob that quit analogs the first day of my eGO arrival I've spent way too much but I didn't want to run out of anything...juice, attys, batteries, etc. and then found I wanted to try new things to increase the experience. My next order I'll order a drip tip and my order for new flavored juice comes today or tomorrow so I can experiement with new flavors. I'm realizing I don't crave the tabacco flavor as much now. Now, I'm comfortable I'm stocked up and if one thing fails I have back-ups.

Congratulations on your vaping decision, I think you'll like it!
