Hi my name is Thor. I make my own e juice and love customizing mods. I prefer an ammonia salt bath for kickass patinas

Hello and welcome :)

When you get around to it, the vector has been a very good first dripper for me! Very forgiving lol

I've actually never heard of that one. Hahah. My friend is sending me his old plume veil. Should be here Monday. Excited to try it out. :D I really need to invest in an ohms meter since I'm gonna be trying to learn more intricate builds. Any advice on where to get a decent one for cheap?

Heard good things about the plume, the vector is made in japan and is about 66 for the authentic. I lucked out and found it fir 33 on sale thanks to ecf. Very deep juice well, easy big posts, grub screws.

You shoukd check fir coupons and such, but i found a couple off the bat both from decent vendors:
Eleaf Digital Ohmmeter Voltmeter
Cartomizer and Atomizer Ohm Meter (Adapter separate add-on. Check the | Lightning Vapes

There's always fastech i guess if you can wait. Amazon have a few for 12 too that have prime shipping.

Hey everyone! Just wanted/have to introduce myself. My name's Julia. I quit smoking/started vaping on January 7th, 2015. Have not picked up a cig since. I run an iTaste MVP 3.0 Pro 60w with a Kangertech Subtank Mini. I'm still learning. A lot. So hopefully this place will help me out with that. Ummm....hmm...not sure what else to include. Guess that's it. Thanks!

Welcome Julia, and congrats on quitting smoking!!! Nice to see a fellow PAer.
This site is full of great info and great people. I've learned a ton here, and still keep earning more! Looks like you have a nice setup!

$17 shipped isn't too shabby to avoid blowing my face off. Lmao. Thanks! :D

Depends on what your willing to spend. I got mine at my local B&M for $10 and you can get one here all the way up to $85. Usually the cheaper one is good enough from the B&M.

USA OHM METERS

My local shop always runs out before I get there, and the owner forgets to call me when he gets em in. I gave up like 2 months ago. Lol

Call before you go and if they have one, tell them to hold it and you will be right there ;)

I have the coilmaster 12 meter, but i only build down to .4 at the lowest (and thats usually a mistake since i aim for .5 lol) if i was doing lower i would def. spend more.

The meter and fire box they have is really nice, maybe fir christmas lol.. Fire Meter: Black (Select LED Color)

Holy ....sticks. $85 is gonna be a bit outta my price range for awhile. Lmao.

Also...I don't understand the low builds. What's so great about .2 ohms? (What I read about the most in my local fb vape group). I built down to a .32 with a parallel coil. Didn't notice anything special about it. My .68 twisted tastes better. I've yet to accomplish a big cloud or anything. But I care about flavoe more anyways. Lol. Now if only I could figure out how to get a cooler vape, I'd be one happy ...... Lmao

Another place to go for an ohm meter could be an auto parts store too... Usually very inexpensive, but good for other stuff too.

As far and low ohm builds, its all about what you're after...cloud chucking or flavor chasing, or anywhere in between. It a bit of trial and error to find your sweet spot, and yours is gonna be different than mine or others. Low ohms are usually for cloud chuckers, as the coil gets very hot, very quick, and throws a lot of vape when there is a lot of airflow.

Hm. Didn't know that. Clouds would be fun, of course. But without flavor, pointless IMO.

I am running twisted 26 gauge @ 18 watts and it is a very cool vape but that is with a subtank wide open airflow. On my MVP 2.0, I run it @ 9.5 watts with a 1.8 ohm coil and that also is a cool vape. There is a calculator here that someone has as a signature that you could put in values and it will tell you if it will be a cool vape to a hot vape.
