I hope I'm not repeating a post....
I just made my first order with mt baker vapor which should be here tomorrow.... Before I get my new evod battery kit. Anyways,
I have heard that there are juices that can ruin a tank? What are those juices? I'm afraid that I might have ordered one.... Maraschino Cherry? Should I wait to get a protank or metal vivi nova to vape that flavor? I also am concerned about the Dutch apple juice?
What are other flavors I should watch out for when using my evod? I just want to be prepared and not crack my tank when I'm just starting out!
Thank you for your insight :)

Welcome to ECF. Yes MBV says that their Maraschino Cherry has been known to crack tanks. Don't know everything that will crack tanks but I think most fruit flavors will as they are acidic and anything with cinnamon. Hope this is helpful. I am sure someone else will come along with more knowledge. Good luck and happy vaping:vapor:

Very helpful thread listed above this post, but just to make it clear.

MBV will include a list of the flavors that have been known to crack tanks - (and I quote) licorice, cinnamon, all citrus flavors, (including ecto cooler) mt. Dew, Sweet tarts, Green apple, Ginger, Amaretto, Maraschino Cherry, Root beer and Lavender.

on the other side, I have used cherry, cinnamons, all the citrus flavors, and I generally use the cheapest clearos I can find and I have not crazed or cracked anything (yet). I like the vivi novas, adequate flavor and very easy maintenance. I have no idea why I have not destroyed anything. I am careful with the cinnamons. They usually do not sit in the tank for extended periods (days), but the citruses, peach, pineapple, oranges and cherries will sit in the tanks for days as I switch flavors constantly.

I have tried probably 40+ flavors, mostly fruits, from about 15 different vendors all through various clearomizers (T2's, Evods, Iclear 16, 30 and others) and I have only managed to fog up/frost one T2. The flavor that did it was Gumby Blood by Fuzion Vapor. It only fogged the tank and it still has not cracked. It was relatively fresh and not steeped by me. I am not sure if that makes a difference but figured it couldn't hurt to mention. I have witnessed someone I know crack an Iclear 30 using a banana flavor that I cannot remember the actual name of or vendor who sells it. I know this info isn't all that helpful, just trying to get my 5 newbie posts...

Just make sure the juice does not have an acidic base if the take is anything other than glass.

It's actually has nothing to do with "acidity". It is a reaction of polycarbonate plastic with certain chemicals in certain flavors.

I've written an article on this topic in my blog, along with suggestions of juice delivery devices that are safe to use with the volatile flavors in question. Click on the link under by avatar where "blog entries" is.
