hello good peoples! after lurking for a few weeks, i've finally decided to join. wonderful forum here with some great info.

i've been a smoker for 17+ years, and last week, i decided it's time to give it a real try at quitting analogs and get myself back into a healthy form. i admit that this new found e-cig world is a bit overwhelming, so i've been spending more and more time in here during my work lunch hour. before discovering this forum tho, i bought all of njoy's disposables to see if one of them would be a suitable alternative/replacement to my Camels. i did not enjoy (pun intended =) smoking those, as i found them harsh, had a weird aftertaste, and it just made me miss analogs. i almost gave up quickly, but decided to stay strong and try other brands. i currently have a Blu disposable (menthol), and i'm very happy to say that i really like it. i can really smoke/inhale it like a cig (i know.. you're not really supposed to use them exactly like an analog), but i find it to be real smooth, that inhaling like an analog doesn't make my tongue and throat hurt like the njoy's did.

now i'm looking to try more/different brands, and i was hoping you guys could help suggest something similar to these Blu disposables.. i'm looking for an automatic, smooth intake like the Blu, and small-ish in size, as i still would like to have that analog cig feel for the transition. what starter kits should i look for? are the Smokeless Image Volts a good one? is that a type of KR808? i heard that the kits from Blu are not as good as their disposables, so i don't think i would be interested in those? any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks all!

Welcome to ECF. If your looking for something not cig-a-like then I would recommend an eGo Twist or Vision Spinner both about the same just some slight differences, nothing major. If the Blu is working that's great. Anything that keeps you off the analogs. Lot's of options once you upgrade from the cig-a-likes.

There is a lot of information here and friendly people to help you along the way.

    No you can't
If you want something that memic a cig style go to this site and look around Electronic Cigarette | Aqua Vapor Cig Official Home | Best Quality Electronic Smokeless Cigarettes You Can Buy I have bought from them before always a 10% off code everyday and special of the day product. if you want something a little bit more try the ego type style's I use two that i got from Johnson Creek Smoke Juice - America's Smoke Juice! Johnson Creek Smoke Juice as back up or when I go out, I like them but I'm not in love with them. Also they e-juice is made in USA shipped in glass bottles keep them for later use. Don't go crazy spending monies right now most of us go into DIY juice etc. Go slow till you decide what you like. One of the hard thing to find is a juice that you like a lot. Once you get that point then I suggest looking into other vaper divices if you don't your going to spend money on a lot of devices. Oh one more thing look into ViVi Nova tanks cost around $10.00 Coils cost from $1.50 to $2.95 but if you make them yourself .05 to .10 each.

If you go for ego type make sure to grt one with two batteries or get an extra battery. If you one goes down you have another. You never want to be without juice or device to use.

since my experience is still very limited.. i was wondering if my better experience with the Blu disposable was because of the 100% vegetable glycol instead of the propylene in NJoys? the intake was too harsh with NJoy yet smooth for the Blu. if that's the case.. could you guys please suggest a starter kit that uses 100% VG? thanks!

The 100% VG is the juice. Unless a kit comes with juice or comes with prefilled carts then you have to talk to the juice vendor about that.

Being your in NY if your not in a hurry to be off the Blu there is a Vapefest coming in March. Its in Rockville Center, NY on the 22-23. There will be training booths on everything from what is an e-cig to how to rebuild. There will also be 2 floors of vendors to check out and see whats out there. I know I'll be there.

It could be but also battery voltage that your delivery system and type of cartomizers hard to say. VG gives more vapor PG more flavor when you buy the choices are limited but when DIY the world is yours unlimited.

It sound like it's all about the juice and not the device. DIY would be a good option for you to look into. Go to utube check out e-cig stuff and get information on all your options. Your will be able to see all the different device and more coming every week.

I started with NJoy disposables, too, but found them uneconomical (2 packs per disposable? ...?) I bolt a Volt, which is a KR808, and I love it. I have other, heavier duty equipment, but I still have a place for my Volt, like when I'm out and about. I even vape on it at home sometimes, because it's easy, tidy, and small. Plus, it provides a velvety smooth mouthfeel -- I'm vaping on one right now.

did you get the Volt starter kit? do you know if they use propylene or vegetable glycerin?

ERoll is nice, but you should look at something bigger to (more volts) maybe a mini eGo, doesn't hurt to try, and won't cost much, a standard size ego with a clearo is about the size of a cigar, I started with ego (manual) and since if tried a tiny automatic one, it didn't do it for me, and I can see how people who use them go back to stinkie sticks

thank you. which mini eGo's would you recommend i check out? as for now, i do prefer automatics, as i've tried a manual, and i still would like that pseudo analog feel the auto gives for my transition.

i see that you're also from NY. do you go to any local brick n mortar smoke shops around?

    Hi,

I am using an eRoll and I love it. I had an analog last Friday, and it just doesn't do it for me anymore. And I am so happy to be able to say that!

is the starter kit price well worth it? i heard that the battery doesn't last long. could you tell me some personal pros and cons with the eRoll? thank you!

    Small, nice, http://www.vaporbeast.com/product_p/a46.htm
If you tried a manual cig-a-like, it's not the same.
    Don't forget charger: http://www.vaporbeast.com/product_p/a31.htm
Here is a clearo for the mini: http://www.vaporbeast.com/product_p/t3.htm
(Any 510 clearo or other 510 delivery system will work with it, just picked that for quality and ease of use)
    Then you just need eLiquid

As small as NYC is, it's huge... This is a great on in the area: VapeNY... New York's Choice for Electronic Cigarettes, VapeNY... New York's Choice for Electronic Cigarettes

Anything else I'm happy to help (I'm right above the city)

Update, the eRoll, the battery needs to always charge, that's what the PCC is for, when you are not vaping it, you put it back in the small almost cig pack style charger you carry around with it, both of them together will last you all day.
