Newbie had some questions about 30 amp batteries

I have gone through a few starter kits and a spinner and decided they're not giving me enough puff so I have invested in this rebuildable:

sigelei ZMAX V5 TELESCOPIC VV VW FULL KIT Mod GUNMETAL & FREE juice !

On Ebay if you type that in it will come up

I also purchased a rebuildable atomiser

And some Kanthal and cotton so I have watched some videos online and I'm concerned about safety.
I have been told to use only 30AMp batterries. This set above (I'm waiting for it to arrive is 18650 2200Mah.
Is that 30 amps or should I buy a new 18650 rated at 30 amps ?

I'm totally new so any help is appreciated if you can please explain what amp my current battery is

Thanks so much

Paul

The amp limit on your battery is important depending on what you want to do.
In the past, folks would use a mechanical mod (you probably know all this...) and build the coil to make the desired level of power.
With these mods and the latest power mods, yes, you need safe chemistry, and higher amp rating.
If you have a bought a Zmax V5, there will be range of power it can offer. It's probably limited to 15 watts, so you won't need a 30 amp battery.

I use 7 amp (?) batteries in all these mods - Vamo V5, SID, Evic. I would never use these in a mechanical.

I'll see if I can find your bundle... :)

Thankyou for clearing that up, I'm still waiting for it to arrive and have watched a few videos on the subject but I want to be safe

Yes, safety first.

These days, when you buy a battery, you don't want to get cheap ICR ones. I have 2 'proper' IMR batteries which are used in a Mechanical mod. AW, Sony and Samsung are good, but be careful on ebay. There are sellers which people use..

Bookmark this for reference. That way you will know what your builds actually do.
    Ohm's Law Calculator

Get an ohm reader. That way you will know the resistance of your builds & test for shorts BEFORE putting it on your PV.
    Cartomizer and Atomizer Ohm Meter

ONLY by batteries from a trusted source. There are a lot of counterfeit batteries out there.

9 times out of 10 the batteries in a "bundle" are cheap batteries that are not safe to use.
