I just purchased 2 sideshow kits from modern vapor (1 as a gift) and have been having some inconsistencies with the Blue foam i was told was better to use.

when re-filling blank carts, i cut the foam to the EXACT measurements of 9mmX21mm. Id fill up the cartridge half way with juice, jam the foam in, and put a few more drops to top it off (not pooling on top though).
This method always causes bubbling and nasty juices spewing out of the end. when i look inside, the cartridge is coated with juice and the inner plastic with the foam is half empty.
after i clean everything out again and add a few more drops into the cart it either:
A-wont hit very hard at all, B- works fine for a few hits or C- floods again.

ive tried using an empty chamber on the atty to see if itll clear out some extra, but it seems only after a few tries, some luck, and a LOT of wasted juice does it work as i would expect it to.

I am not having these problems on the pre-filled carts that came with the kit (but those aren't very much fun are they?) also when filling carts without the foam in them it works much better, but most of those insides are sitting in my ashtray =(.

ive also had a friend of mine who's been vaping for months try to help out,but shes been having similiar issues.

Is there a trick to this stuff? am i missing something? or am i doomed to go back to analogs like a primitive species?

any help would be very much appreciated as like i said the other pack is a gift for my mother this weekend! I'd like her to be able to enjoy them without so many problems.
THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP!

The general trick to using BF is to cut it so that it is slightly wider than the cart, so it is squeezed a bit when putting it in. I think the idea is that unless it is compressed a little it will wick way too well and lose its fluid and flood the atty. This is what I am finding too, although I use AquaClear foam, but I think it is essentially the same material. Also, I am finding that it is best to fill it until the fluid is just at the top of the foam, after it is tamped down by the atty bridge a bit. Pooling the juice tends to make it dump a bunch out of the atty holes and all over your hand...yick!!

Good luck! I think you may have to experiment to get it just right for your atty. Another foam to try is Buff Puff facial cleaning sponge, but you have to cut it so the sponge channels are aligned to the length of the cart.
