If I were to stick with one device and just buy juice and a pack ce2's once a month and every two months respectively, I would spend 1/4 what I did on cigs. However with new fun mods coming out all the time, there are always new and interesting things to buy. Once you get settled into a routine savings will sneak up on you. That will only work if you don't make a hobby out of devices. Good luck and congrats on the transition.

I'm a newbie also and want to share my thoughts on vaping.
Started out with Green Smoke product (starter-kit) thinking that it'll be safer to go with what seemed to be the more "respectable" vendor, even at a higher price... how wrong I was. After about 2 months of vaping, I quickly got tired of recharging the batteries, and yes, I even went back to smoking the analogs. sigh...

The good news is that I finally discovered dripping method and bought me the latest-and-greatest Darwin from Evolv. What a great product it is in terms of great vapor production and full flavor it generates from various e-juice. Just got the product delivered today and the only quirk I discovered was that it blew out two brand-new atomizers. Trying to figure out what I did wrong, but once I get around that, it's a keeper.

BTW, dripping versus using pre-filled cartomizers will make a huge difference for me in terms of money spent. In order to permanently quit smoking, one must have the unit that can provide a satisfying vaping experience, and I believe I found it.

In the end, it's not about the money but the "healthier you" that matters. Case in point... Since I started vaping about 2 months ago, I had to shovel snow on 4 different occasions. I remember last winter when I struggled to clear the snow from my driveway, experiencing shortness of breath. This time it was noticeably different. I actually felt good shoveling the snow. Rather than experiencing shortness of breath, it felt like I exercised instead. What a cool feeling...

Congratulations!!!!!
I went from 3-5 packs a day to straight vaping a little bit shy of a month, I also have had the help of welbutrin, and those times when I really want to smoke, I have some 36MG juice. My normal VAPE is 24, and I pretty much chain VAPE that, and about the saving money part.........I hope some day to break even!
Although I am getting better, yesterday my wife asked me if there wasn't something I wanted to order, that I had been talking about, she told me to go ahead and order it. It was only a 510 to 510 battery extender, but I said NO, I'm getting better!
That being said I, in the month that I've been vaping currently own one Joye 510 kit, two Joye 510Mega kits, plus PCC, and car charger, one T-Rex kit, two Joye Ego-T kits, various attys, various carto's various Cart's, a bunch of pre filled of each carto's and carts, an additional tank atty and 20 or so tank carts, not to mention all of the juices. I think my last juice order was for 240ML, and the order the 3 days before that was for 270ML...........and on, and on......however I have found a PV that I am in love with, and so has my wife, so from now on out I'm hoping it's all just maintenance/juices.I hope.......otherwise, I sure do like the way the MAP tank mod looks on some of those REALLY big PV'S.............maybe next month!
Welcome and good luck, try the higher nic juices if you want to get rid of that last pack a month, if not, just look at how very far you have come and pat yourself on the back!

can someone tell me how to get one of the thingy's that tell me and everyone else how long it's been since i was sucking on analogs?

If you click on just about any of them, they should take you to the site that generated the banner, and tell you how to make your own and pop it into your sig line. I myself haven't gone thru the whole process, but I've hit a few sites and it seems easy enough to do.

I have smoked for over 50 years but for the last 3 months have also been vaping. This month I
have smoked one pack. Considering I smoked two packs a day I am pleased. I still have not found perfection, but am having fun trying! When do you get to the saving money part?

It is all a matter of math coupled with how much you used to smoke. There are many sites that put out those banners that calculate when you will "break even" and start saving money with vaping.

For me it was pretty simple. My packs cost about $5.00 even (marb 72s), smoked a pack a day, every day, so $150/month. So far on a kit (overpriced, but ah well) plus carts plus some clearance juice I've invested about $140.00(incl shipping). It has been 3 weeks now and if I can make my supplies last another week (which will DEFINATELY not be a problem) I'll be saving money in about 8 days!

Then after that, the ongoing costs will consist mainly of

1) cartos (blank or prefilled) *or* cartridges+attys
2) juice (unless you only buy prefilled cartos or carts)

You will save more money if you refill carts/cartos with juice.

You will save even MORE money if you DIY and get bulk nic juice and flavor it yourself. There is a slight hardware investment for bottles, syringes, etc but it's a "few and far between" type of investment, similar to replacement batteries.
