Welcome to ECF and congrats on becoming a quitter. I think you have a much great chance of being sucessful long term if you stay active here and seek advice when you run into difficulties.
Thanks all, yeah I plan to be active on here esp if i decide I do not want to keep buying coils all the time and want to try and rebuild, but one step at a time lol
I have noticed in just a couple weeks the taste changes. The only negative so far is the cotton mouth I get from vaping. I am drinking a ton of water just can not seem to get enough lol.
OK so I went to my local shop today to pick up some juice and look around. I was just about to pull the trigger on the Istick they had for 40 bucks, I know I can get a little cheaper online but I was willing to spend a few extra bucks to have it now and help support a great store. Well then the guy let me try out his Aspire Atlantis and it was an incredible experience. Since the Istick can not run sub ohm that would not work out. They had a really nice IPV V3 150w box mod but for 160, then add in the batteries and chargers a lot more than I want to spend right before Christmas. So many choices out there is enough to drive a noob like me crazy lol
Welcome Rob M from The City of Brotherly Love. I have a similar story as yours; smoked about a pack a day, for 25+ years. Started vaping 15 months ago, and have never looked back. It will take a while for your body to adjust. I think we all go through changes, but it gets better and better; believe it! Hope you have a great vaping journey. I'm Vapin' in So Cal (CASAA Member).
At this point there are no shortages of ways to kick the analogs. From low cost, low power to high ended Cho-cho trains. Watch plenty of youtubes and leave your charge card out on the desk. This functional hobby comes with 2 afflictions. GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) and ATCS (Add To Cart Syndrome)..so...go ahead and put your wife's shoe collection to shame.
Learn as much as you can here. Build your own coils and give making e-liquids a shot. There is no better feeling than knowing you are self sufficient and will never need to have the pack/carton of cigs monkey on your back again.
