Hey everyone, I'm pretty new to the e-cig thing. I started with the njoy express kit from my local 7-11 and besides the fact the store stopped selling the replacement cartridges, the cartridges don't seem to last very long at all. I feel like I was spending more money on the cartridges than I use to spend on real cigs. So here I am looking for something more advance than this kit but something simple at the same time. I came across this website by accident but fell in love it with, there is so much information on here its a little overwhelming at first. So I decided to thumb through the newb forum and pick through the advice given to other newbs on where to start. Since I'm looking for something simple and the whole "drip" thing is still kind of a mystery to me, (but I think I figured it out) I saw on another post that a someone was going to start with the "Compact eGo Vision Kit - Dragon" from pbdragon.com- ejuice for the masses and I am thinking of trying the 6 sample pack of flavors to go along with it. I've never tried any fruit flavors since the 7-11 only had njoy reg and menthol but i'm down to experiment as long as the nicotine is there. If anyone has any recommendations on maybe another newb kit that would be just as easy to get started on or advice about this current kit or any input on where I should go from here, I would greatly appreciate it.

If you want something small, but don't wanna worry about buying carts cause its refillable then go with this starter kit

If you want something slightly bigger (well, much bigger compared to the above but still very small and well made and also has a much bigger tank then go with this kit instead. Forgot to add, with this kit and from this site, after adding everything you want to your cart, at checkout use the coupon code "happy2013" to get 25% off ur total. I got the kit, an extra battery (though the kit comes with two batteries), 3 extra clearomizers (tanks), 1 titan tank, 5 spare heads, for the titan tank, a case, a syringe and about 2 months worth of juices all for just $110 (after using the code of course)

I have been on the second one for a few days now and is my first ever PV. I just placed an order for the first one for something more portable.

I'm not sure, and someone correct me, but when you get your juice, I think you can pull the ends out of your NJoy cartomizers with a paper clip and drop eliqiud down in there.

The Dragon kit looks good enough, but you'll want two to have one to vape while the other is charging. Having a spare charger is always handy.

Look for a kit with 2 batteries, 2 clearomizers and a charger.

The reason for this is simple... 1 battery charges while you use the other....

And 2 clearomizers so you have a backup.

Never heard of PBDragon.... be mindful that there are a great many knock-offs of actual eGo and Vision products out there that are sub-par.

I got an Ego Basics kit from Rawr. It is less than 20 dollars, comes with a pass through (which is great for me since I am at a computer all day), a CE4 clearomizer (meh) and 10ml of juice. They also sell sample packs. 10ml of juice lasts me 4 days, I was smoking a pack a day at about $6.00 a pack.. so even with shipping I was ahead. It showed up at my door in 2 days.

I have added to that original kit since then, but a little at a time and I am still under what I would have spent if I was still smoking.

Just saying what worked for me =)

Here's what I did... I got a eGo 650mAh w/ CE4 Clearomizer Blister Pack Starter Kit from myfreedomsmokes.com for $14.95. It comes with a battery, clearomizer and a usb charger. I got a Universal A/C Charger Adapter with USB Port made by Joyetech for $5.95. I got an additional smaller size battery (for a back-up) eGo-T Mini 350mAh Battery , another backup clearomizer and this snazzy Joyetech Carrying Case (small size) for $7.95 to protect my investment. I also got a couple of flavors of eliquid to start. After doing a lot of research, I decided to build my own "starter kit". It's working out great. All together my investment was $50 and I couldn't be happier with the purchases. Good luck in your search, I hope this helps :)

Thank you so much for all the quick feedback, I'm going to take a bit of time and go through these choices and from the sounds of it I will really enjoy my results better than this the dragon kit I was going to start with. I will post back with which one I'm learning on for more input and also any other questions I may have about them. Thanks so much for the awesome friendly welcoming (and describing to me in noob terms what each part is).

I get all my starter kits for friends that want to get into vaping at BestEcig-High quality mini e-cig|e-cigarette|eGo,best e-liquid|e-cigs wholesale
The CE4 starter kit is usually great - I always get these and order about 10 starter kits (at least) at a time as I always run out.
Most people that smoke and see me vape want to get into it and this is an inexpensive way to try.
I usually go for the MEGA LCD version as the battery and drag counter display are very handy to have.

My favourite juice vendors are www.aliceinvapeland.com and www.fanceejuice.com

Also I find the various subforums here fantastic for specific research and also enjoy reading Spinfuel Magazine | The Art of Vaping

    Hope this is helpful!

I started with a similar e-cig, it didn't work for me. My most recent stuff that has actually worked is my eGo Twist and my Mini Nova tank.

I would really recommend an adjustable voltage battery, its nice to start on because you can control how intense the vape is, that way until you get used to the vape you can run at a low voltage so you don't choke on the vapor.

Also a tank system/ Clearomizer because I had the issue of the little cartridges didn't last long enough and I couldn't tell when they were empty, both problems solved with the tanks.

Be sure to get two of each so you have a backup, you'll want a battery you can use while one is charging.

Finally, I have never heard of that website and agree with others about there being too many knock off's out there. I used vaporalley.com and got 100% genuine equipment but be sure to read vender reviews before ordering.

i started with an ego twist and it has fulfilled my nicotine cravings perfectly. i like how you can change the volts to control the intensity of the drags/throat hit. i usually use a tank and cartomizer setup when im out and about but when im at home i use a rba. they are a little more user intensive but with time they are very simple to get used to. plus they let you change flavors if you so desire. the options are endless i would recommend going to shops and asking questions on what you see that appeals to you or just the random youtube searches. there are a lot of people with tons of knowledge andvery well made videos that give tons of info, grimgreen, scott bonner, pbusardo... they all have very good videos with great info.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to give an update and thanks to everyone for all the help. Especially lorddeff07, I decided to go with his recommendations (thanks for the coupon buddy, it ended up saving me about 25 bucks!) and got 3 blends of classic tobacco menthal, RY8 which is a hearty tobacco with a hint of caramel, and a green apple, to try something completely new to me. I am absolutely in love with my selection, its so easy to use and the "dripping" is less of a hassle than I ever thought it could be. I do have a few questions though, How low should i let my tank get before i refill it? What about if I want to change flavors in the same tank? is that recommended or should I get another tank?
