Hi everyone! First post, so go easy
. I'm Mop, and I've been vaping about a week. My brother-in-law gave me 4 rn4081 minicigs to help me quit smoking for my new year's resolution as he gave up on nicotine altogether.
I fell in love with it. Well, I fell in love with one battery, because it worked flawlessly. The others were terrible! They were really temperamental, I'd say they would only work on about 10% of draws, and when they did work, they'd often cut out too early. So I decided to fix them, but couldn't find the specific info I needed after an hour on the 'net. I figure I'm a bright guy, and I could learn through experimentation. I decided the best course of action was to:
1. rap it briskly against my desk
2. pour vinegar down the hole
3. jam a wire down the hole
I later learned why this was a perfect storm of idiocy, but whatever, I'm no electrician. Amazingly though- it worked! I speculate that it was the wire that did the trick, I managed to trip the vacuum switch and somehow knock the crusties off, or push it into place, or something. Whatever it was, it worked on all 3 units without electrocuting me and they are all performing properly now.
As a disclaimer, I don't recommend anyone do this. Maybe someone who knows what the inside of the battery looks like can explain why this worked, or maybe someone knows a safer method than using a wire? Anyway, I figured I'd post this as my introduction so you could all laugh at how stupid I am.
