Newbie Need Help With Cartridges

Hi Folks. All I can say is wow! This is like a whole new world, with a whole new language to learn.

I've been a smoker for 40 years. I stopped & then started up again. You know the routine. I'm tired of getting bronchitis once or twice a year & really just need to quit smoking. I even have a fresh Chantix prescription that I haven't started on yet. I've been on Chantix before & it does kill the cravings.

This site/forum is almost like a tech forum. God bless you for finding a smoking alternative but I'm really not interested in "geeking out" on a vaporizer. I'm not putting anyone down for being into it but I'm into too many other things to get all caught up in something new. I feel that the liquids are messy & I prefer the convenience of a cartridge & battery. I came across this site purely by accident. I bought a BluCig disposable on a whim today at the smoke shop & went on their site & somebody mentioned vaping so here I am.

I had been using the Safecig for some time & really liked it. They are having major issues & referred me to Seminole. I don't understand what's going on in the ecig world. Bad customer service & out-of-stock conditions seem to be the norm. After 8 weeks of trying to get a refill cartridge, I'm simply spent.

My question is, does anybody know which brand of cartridges I can use with my Safecig batteries? I know Seminole will work but they're abunch of idiots & I prefer not to give them my business. My goal is not to start over on another system with new batteries & a new charger etc. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I know how you feel about the language. It can be very confusing, especially since you are not into the "vaping" experience. I do hope you find the correct size carto for your ecig.

Just as a thought though, when you are asking the businesses about the item, use carto (it actually means cartomizer) and the reason for that is I don't want you to buy the wrong item and get more frustrated. Just to help you, all e-cigs have 3 "parts": the battery, the atomizer (part that burns the liquid) and a cartridge (part that holds the liquid). This is of course simplified only as there are some that do not use the cartridge. If you ask for a cartridge then you will only have the part that holds the liquid. Some may understand and ask but that may give you a headache (it did for my brother). Now for the cartomizer (carto), that is 2 parts in one: the atomizer and the cartridge.

Good luck and let us know how it went for you.

Thanks for all of the input so far. It really helps. gjanderson, I am confused about your comment that all e cigs have three parts. The safecig & BluCig only have two parts. A battery & cartridge. I assume that the amtomizer is built into the cartridge?

Correct. Your cartridge is basically a cartomizer that has been prefilled.

wilburloo, yes, the carto or cartomizer is an atomizer and cartidge built into one part. I do appologize for not making that clear, my bad.

Normally with those types, they fill the cartomizer for you - which for some people (and maybe yourself) this is an easy, non hassle way of getting them. When you find a shop, ask them if they have prefilled cartomizers.

I only wanted you to understand so you don't get a basic cartridge (no atomizer built in) and get frustrated. My brother did that by accident but thankfully I had an atomizer that was able to be made to work.
