Not flaming Paradise Vapors but the starter kits he sells have the cartridge+ atomizer delivery system and are known to be eventually problematic with leakage. The Riva is also a more powerful battery than the Ego and comes with a clearomizer- just fill and vape- also comes with 5 cartomizers. These are the 2 of the most popular delivery systems. Some purchase a lanyard that goes around their neck to hold the PV.
Battery Dimensions:
Battery: 3.50" in length .5" in diameter
Realize the Riva is identical to the Kgo. Here's a review:

That's called a tight draw- cartomizers are more airy and it prolly means your cartridge may be running low on juice OR it could mean your atomizer is getting gunked up and needs cleaning. Ignore the vendor stating the cartridges are equal to X number of analogs.

Carry Case Approximate Dimensions:
Outer 15cm x 6cm x 4cm
Inner 14cm x 4.5 x 3cm

just watching the vid... WOW that is some man sized bit of kit init... so do they hold more juice then the eciggy lookalikes?

With the clearomizer you get with the kit it holds 1.6 ml. Your cartridges probably held 1 ml. As for the cartomizers that come with the kit they hold 1 ml juice.
I began with Boge 1 ml cartomizers. Next Smok Tech XL 1.7 single coil cartomizers. I then added a 3 ml tank. I now use either tank+ carto or REBUILDABLE LONG WICK Clearomizers- easily and cheaply replaceable wicks/ coils (head)- simply unscrew old head and screw in new head- 10 secs.
Vision Ego Rainbow V3 Rebuildable £5.50 - Vaping Spares - Cartomisers Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid
Replacement Heads
Vision Ego Rainbow V3 Spare Heads (Long Wick) £2.50 - Vaping Spares - Cartomisers Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid
With the Riva you'll prolly want 1.8 or 2.4 ohms cartos or clearomizers. I LOVE a warm vape but find the 1.8 ohm clearos are too warm.
Overall that's the beauty of the Riva- after you buy, because it is true 3.7 Volts, you can upgrade/ addon stuff as your knowledge base and experience increases.

why is it so important with the battery?
100 mah= 1 hr of normal vaping before recharge. The Riva is 1100 mah and comes off the charger at 4.2? volts and slowly goes down to 3.3 volts BUT most of the time it's at 3.7 volts. The Ego discharges much quicker thus is not firing at a high voltage some of the time. 3.7 volts does give a far better vape BUT it also depends on the delivery system:
Different delivery systems:
atomizer/ atty- an element on to which 3-4 drops of juice is dripped

cartridge/ cart- a container with sponge (filled with juice) that is used with the atty- juice drips on to atty from cart and is vaporized- this is what you are now using

Red below is what you'd be getting with the Riva:
cartomizer/ carto- metal tube with stuffing and element.
carto+tank- a carto with a hole punched in it. Carto is than placed in a glass, metal or plastic tank which is filled with juice- juice saturates carto by way of hole in carto.
Clearomizer- a plastic or metal tank with a wick and element. Contains NO stuffing.

The very best cartomizer used by 3.7 volt PV/ Ecig users is the Smok Teck 1.7 single coil cartomizer aka The Ressurector BUT at this time both Boge and Smok Teck are having QC issues so I would not recommend them

will the riva smoke better then an eciggy lookalike?
I can almost guarantee you it will knock your sox off

Juice Components
Flavoring usually about 15%
PG enhances flavor, TH and lung hit- water like
VG= vapor and can mute flavor- thick
Nicotine- TH, lung hit and our need for nicotine. The MOST important ingredient in regards to TH and lung hit.
Standards in the industry are 80/ 20 or 70/ 30 PG/ VG. I vape 70/ 30 PG/ VG.

why is it so important with the battery? is it just the how long it lasts? or does it vap better? will the riva smoke better then an eciggy lookalike?

It is how long the battery lasts. You can get a good enough vape with mini ecigs like 808's for eg. If that is what you want. You need good juice and cartomizers though. Go to Smokeless Image and look at the Volt. Very nice 808's and there are plenty of people who are happy with the mini ecigs.

When using a carto with tank my carto lasts:
dark juice= 50- 60 ml
light juice= 80- 90 ml
so you can see the saving compared to your mini ecig as quite amazing. Realize when using a carto+ tank the cartos must be punched...you can punch your own with 1/4" a saddle valve form Hardware Store. I punch my own using nail and hammer punching one hole 2.5 mm wide.

The Riva isn't that big - only about the size of a cigar. Plus, you could end up standing out far more by using a ciggie lookalike as it could be mistaken for a real cig.

If you can make it over the Tamar & would like to try my Riva out before you buy one, I'm more than happy to meet up with you. It's one of the first edition Riva's so a fairly old battery but still works. I mainly use my GGTS these days - now that's big :D

erm whats a 510 cartomisers? do e-cggy lookalike not take them then can you not refill them?

510 & 808 refer to the basic model numbers & the type of threads on e-cigs (lol I'm sometimes so bad at explaining things). In the UK most vendors sell parts that fit 510 threaded e-cigs. All of the 510 cartomisers can be easily refilled. And it depends on the type of thread on the ciggie lookalike as to whether they will fit.

so is the Riva part of the 510 series chrissie? i,ve been looking at getting one for indoors and buying a 808 for going out now lol
