I have been vaping for about two years now and have been using the eGo 650 mAh and 1000mAh batteries. It seems lately that the quality of the batteries I have purchased have not been that good. They only seem to work well for about a month, then they go downhill fast. I am considering upgrading to a variable voltage, variable wattage device. I was wondering if these devices are going to work any better than what I have been using? I am wondering how often the batteries need to be replaced because they won't hold a charge any more. I was considering using a device with 18650 battery, or similiar, and was wondering how often I will need to buy new batteries? Also wondering if you guys can recommend a device that is not pricey (will have to buy one for the wife also), that will last me a while. I have to admit that I don't know much about the VV or VW aspect, but am willing to learn in order to save some money instead of buying these other batteries every couple of months.

Thanks for the help

I agree the iTaste MVP2 is a great step up from an ego battery. Up to three days on a charge. Ability to vape it while it charges. Variable voltage/wattage. Built-in battery meter and resistance meter. You can even charge your iPhone or iPod with it.

If that's just "too big", consider the baby brother to the MVP, the iTaste VV3. Not near the battery life of the MVP, but has most of all the other features.

You should find both to be affordable. Both use an internal rechargeable (and not replaceable) battery charged with an USB cord. Expect 1 - 2 years of use.

I think you'd be happy enough with the MVP 2.0 that I feel good recommending it. Shop for deals, they've been crazy affordable lately and you'll find a good one, a few vendors still have them online for what they listed for six months ago (MSRP) but you'll find some great deals.

Personally unless you get a super cheap deal with it, I didn't care for the iClear 30 myself. I liked the iClear 30B at the time I got my MVP, although my best vaping friend was the total opposite, he preferred the 30. I gave $42.00 shipped I think for the iClear 30 and MVP 2.0 starter kit.

There are some other box mods for a little more but the good ones the next step up require a good battery and charger, and that adds some additional money. I often forget to add that when considering say the MVP 2.0 vs the IPV 2 if someone doesn't have VTC 5s or equivalent and a charger for other mods.
