I'm currently running a Protank 2 mounted ontop of a Innokin iTaste V3.0 VV Battery. I'm tired of the gurgle and having to clean out the battery positive post and clearing out everything to get rid of the gurgle. Is there a tank I can use that doesn't get this "gurgle" or leaking effect that will work on my battery?

I currently vape Max VG mount baker Vapor Hawk juice

The RSST doesnt gurgle, but you have to make your own coils tho...

I'd really like a tank where I can replace the coil/wick which is what I enjoy about the protanks. I can get replacements cheap and replace then within seconds which a guy on the constant go loves. Any more ideas?

I had a protank 3 that gurgled. I found out the coils seal that came with them were bad. I bought another pack of 5 coils and they also gurgled. I then found another supplier and explained my problem and those worked fine. Never again got gurgling. Bad batch fake product who knows but well annoying..

Who was the supplier of these coils?

I haven't used protanks in over a year, but I've read that you can get an alternate base for these. Would be the aero base, I think? I've never used one, but a lot of people posted that being able to adjust the airflow helped a lot with gurgling/leaking/dry hits, all those problems that come about because of air flow issues.

Here is a link describing the base. I have no idea about this company or reviews of this particular product they are selling. It's just the first link with picture and description that came up.

ETA: if you search for kanger aero base or protank 3 base, you will find more info on this type of product.

how cheap is cheap?? probably costs me about 8 cents to replace my coil/wick. But since I use the same coil for a couple of weeks straight all I do is replace the rayon wick every 3-5 days which is about 1/2 cent per replacement

I used to have the gurgling, but bought the air-flow control base for mine. I haven't had a single gurgle in the 2 months since I replaced all the bases.

The gurgling is normally caused by drawing too hard and sucking up too much juice in to the coil, so that the coil can't burn off all of the juice.

Would strongly recommend trying one of these out before you give up on them. I still use nothing but mini PT2s and PT3s, and plan to start recoiling/wicking them soon - I have a massive collection of discarded ones!

I would also suggest building your own micro coils. I use the T3s which is the same coil as the protank 2. I find that stock coils can be hit and miss.

I use 28 awg kanthal about 9 times round a 1.5mm drill bit, take of the drill bit squeeze together and tourch to get a nice micro coil of around 1.4 ohms. wick with natural unbleached cotton wool.

Perfect hit everytime, no gurgling, no leaking, no problems
