I am now 12 days free from analogs. I started with a Blu disposable, and then realized I should stop throwing my money away. I bought an eGo T from a local vape shop. They use 50/50 e-juice, and they get it from a lot of different vendors.

Yesterday, I felt myself coming down with a cold, and today I'm just miserable. I'm stuffed up, coughing, achy, etc. Please tell me that vaping isn't causing me to be sick. Should I try a different kind of juice? Am I sick because I live in upstate NY and the whether has been just crazy (warm one day, below freezing the next)? Is this just a fluke?

I cannot give this up and go back to analogs. That is NOT an option. I appreciate any help you can offer. Thank you.

OK, I'll tell you. Vaping isn't causing you to be sick.

I'm on day 113 and haven't had a cold. For the last 110 days or so, I've generally felt better than I have in 10 years or more. Well, except for an occasional issue in my lower back, but that started last summer when I was still smoking, and I'm sure not gonna blame it on vaping.

If I were Sigmund Freud, I'd ask you: "Son, are you looking for an excuse to go back to traditional cigarettes?" ;)

You can put aside concerns that vaping has caused your current miseries! You will find hundreds of posts on ECF stating that since vaping, members have enjoyed a marked decrease in the number, degree of severity, and length of duration of colds, sinus infections, bronchitis infections etc etc.
Hang in there ncolwell! If you can get ahold of some menthol or mint ejuice, that might be a good thing to try if your taste buds are affected by your cold. I'm betting you will feel better soon!
Congratulations on being analog free for 12 days and welcome to ECF!

vaping gives me dry mouf. also it cleared up my backne and straitened up my scoliosis. the weather is also nicer, so that's obviously due to my vaping. gurlz talk to me moar, thats a plus. less pepper spray in eyes is always fun. and my hair is bouncier and has a sheen to it like i was back in 1977 again. somehow i also learned the jitterbug and cha cha.

it just takes time, there's a transition from smoking and your body "healing" from damage that dun feel too good. drink lots of fluids and take things slow to get acclimated to your new lifestyle.

No, I am absolutely not! I would deal with this stupid cold forever and try every e-juice they make before I would do that.

Thanks so much for your help, everyone. Once I quit smoking, I felt a serious improvement in how I felt in about 2-3 days. I just wanted to be sure that I didn't have to worry about the e-cig contributing to this cold. You're all probably right. It's probably just the change in the weather. I'm expecting that it won't last nearly as long as when I got a cold as a smoker. That's why I came here to ask. I knew you guys would know. :)

I forgot to mention this part of my question:

I started off with a Caramel Mocha e-juice which I absolutely fell in love with. I got a few more kinds, and one of the bottles I got was a Skittles flavor. On Sunday I decided to try out the Skittles flavor, and it was good. However, I soon realized that I wasn't really interested in vaping Skittles all day long, and I definitely didn't want to wake up to Skittles in the morning. I switched back, but the Skittles flavor is still in my ecig. Maybe it was too strong, or something was up with that flavor to cause me to feel this way?

What do you guys think about that?

Realistically, it's not the change in the weather either. I've bounces back and forth between PA and FL several times this winter -- talk about a change in the weather! Anyway, weather changes don't cause colds, viruses do. It's conceivable that weather changes make your body more susceptible to a viral infection (and hence a cold), but in the end, the cause is exposure to a virus.
