Hi everyone. REEEEEEEEEAALLY new to this..

So guess what I did.. what I imagine most utterly uneducated newbies do, and that is.... bought a SkyCig starter pack!

2 days in, I had caned all the cartridges, but wait aren't they supposed to be the equivalent of 20 cigarettes each?

So yeah, went back on regular cigs or "analogues" as I have now discovered they're called for a couple days to tide me over until my "spare" starter pack and 10 cartridge refills arrived and yeah, I think I need to get something more economical on the go..

So I'm looking for something that is:

- Easy to manage
- Economical
- Good battery life
- Easy to carry around
- Doesn't make me look like something off star wars

I guess before my new cartridges run out again and I re-order (at this rate I will be spending more than I did on a pack a day) I'm just looking for some sound advice on what to go for.

I'm in the UK so I need to have a UK supplier. I just don't know what to look for as the little bit of research I've done has shown me an absolute plethora of options but at least I found you guys, who I'm sure can help me out..

Really sorry if I'm covering old ground.

Thanks
JC

From what I've been reading an ego-c is a good bet to go on for a first time. They're bigger than analogues but not too crazy. I'm using a 65mm(180mAh) mini battery and go through at least 5 charges a day. The base kits of ego look like 650mAh is the standard. For easy to manage I'd go with the new clearo/fluxos, they cost more than regular cartos but they can be rebuilt with cheaper replacement parts. I imagine being able to see the level makes it easier to manage also. The best part about the ego's that I've noticed is the amount of options you have, there's a veritable plethora of mods? for them, so if one thing isn't working for you it's easier to try something else. This is pretty much what I'm switching to. I have a mini 808 and while it's great and is very cigarette-like, it's not quite what I want in a vape apparently. I can't say I've seen easy to manage, economical, and small like a regular cig (100mm) in one package, I may be mistaken

I don't know any UK suppliers unfortunately

ego 1000mah battery or kgo (Ego is built better) People say kgo because its what they purchased .. But their ripoffs of ego.

As for tanks, cartos, juice etc .. Youll have to try different things before you find what you like.

Myself would choose a ego-c starter kit ... Along with a vivi nova tank or mini sub tank to find what you like. I would strongly recommend tanks opposed to carts ... I just hate carts they make my juice taste bad .. .Some love them .. You may ... And the argument continues

I am relatively new to vaping myself. After seeing everyone here say the more the thing looks like a cigarette the less likely you will be happy with the performance I made some concessions to how much it had to look like a cigarette. I got a recommendation from these fine forums to go with a kgo starter kit. I chose the1100 mAh batteries. They are about the size of a sharpie marker which was okay with me. These batteries will hold a charge all day long so the size was not a issue since the performance really is more important. about a week after I got the batteries and the little cartos that came with it I decided my juice needed a better home. I have branched into the ego vision stardust tanks and I am relatively happy. They have a low fiddle factor which I in my noobness like a great deal.

KGO is generally accepted around these parts as a good alternative to Ego. They are NOT a ripoff. I'm not sure what axe you have to grind against the KGO, but you seem to bash them any chance you get. A lot of people around here use them (me included) and are very happy with them.

Kgo / ego are the same thing. I honestly beleive kgo is rebranded ego. Ive read that kgo shorts out .. And ive used ego with flawless results .. I dont know what other conclusion to come to.

Yes, the KGO is a good kit with a very low fiddle factor. I have one and I like it a lot. Everyone wants the PERFECT kit when they start. There is no perfect kit (they all make compromises somewhere), but the KGO is an excellent one that is NOT a waste of money. If you ultimately decide to move up to a variable voltage unit, the KGO makes a great backup kit.

The E-Power kit is one that I haven't used, but it seems to be pretty much like the KGO except that it uses replaceable batteries, which would be cheaper in the long run. You might want to take a look at it too. At some point, I remember reading that the switches were a problem on those (but that may have just been a limited event). But you can buy replacement switches for the E-Power even if it is a problem.

I would have to agree with Pappy. KGO or an E-Power kit would be wise to start out with if you don't want the hassle of the tank system the eGo-C uses. The E-Power units you will find now, should have the new heads on them that have been fixed. Don't get me wrong, you could still go with eGo batteries and simply use clearos, cartos, etc. It will all come down to what it is that you want and how much you want to spend.

I started out with SmokeFree E-Cigs bought from a mall kiosk then IMMEDIATELY after finding this forum bought a kgo kit which I have loved. Now I have a single ego-c twist added in and love that one even more because the battery doesn't get weaker as a I vape due to the regulated battery vs the kgo which is unregulated. Anyhooo...I would say that I have loved my kgos thus far but now I love the ego even more ;)
