My all time favorite tobacco flavor is called "Jeff's Vape" from a vendor by the name of Wordup ecig. They are near my home in Florida, but they have a big online / mail order business as well. They make their own juice and will tailor the VG /PG to your preference. I can't post links yet, but they are listed as one of the forum suppliers on this site and you can find their web address there. They are a mom & pop operation with two B&M locations, they make their own eliquids and they are the folks who helped me get started vaping and off the analogs. Wonderful folks who I can't recommend highly enough!

Thank you everyone. Got it already !! :)

I saw some website selling it and the prices were not so different so i went to a local store (DashVapes) and bought it. The guys working there are nice. Unfortunately they didnt have many tobacco flavours. The closest one i found was something called bobas bounty.

Heres the thing. I asked for 18 or 24ml nicotine and they said it would be too much and i should start with the 12. Since i already didnt like the flavour so much and planning to buy other one so i said fine. After we setted up it was not so good but since i already bought a good setup i thought its about the flavor. After i came home and tried it again, the throat hit, feeling didnt feels like a cigarette. I adjusted the wattage, take deep breath or fast strong breath. Not so different. Then I realised i havent asked, mentioned anything about the VG/PG ratio. Then i check the eliquid and realised its 100%VG 0%PG ! Its so stupid of me to forget. I clearly stated that only thing i want is the throat hit of the liquid to quit smoking, that i dont care about the flavour or vapour at this point of time. Maybe the employee should have known. Anyways.

Thank you all so much for your comments. Now im looking for some eliquid that tastes like an actual cigarette. This time with Im not going to forget the VG/PG ratio for sure. Any eliquid suggestion is appretiated :)

Cheers!

Congrats on your purchase and nice setup :)

If you want stronger and concentrated throat hit, try reducing the airflow. Just a caution on the juice...The reason the shop staff suggested to start at 12mg is due to Subtank which vaporizes liquid much more efficient than your previous starter kit (depending on wattage you set at). Which means that you will be inhaling/absorbing more nicotine compared to previous. Therefore, try juices with the smallest bottle at 12mg until you find a juice that you like.

Today I went to another place that sells tobacco flavoured e-liquids. All of the e-liquids were 50%PG/50%VG. All of them made scratchiness in my throat. I found out a fruity juice named Beetle Joose with okay throat hit and less scratchiness compared the all other and got that. After i was trying it with my own setup I realised i feel less scratchiness when I increase the wattage, to around 35W. The guy working there warned me that with subtank mini I cant go over 30W. Now im trying around 25 and still, scratchy. It seems like its really hard to find decent tobacco flavour so im going to try other menthol, mint flavours with 70PG. I like my setup but Im wondering why everyone here said this this setup is good, does this mean mostly people use lower than 30W? Maybe I need to buy another coil? Or maybe another eliquid will not require for me to increase the wattage over 30 :) Journey continues :)

What is the nic content of the e-juice? The 'scratchiness' may possibly be due to high nic and/or PG. I had the same issue after switching to subtank as my juices were 12mg and 18mg. After various testing of nic content, I'm now comfortable with 5-6mg of Nic and 40PG/60VG (note: after being off analogues and vaping for sometime, I started to prefer less throat hit and more smoother inhales). For the high nic juices that I had, I diluted it with PG & VG down to approx 5-6 mg of nic, but of course, by diluting, I loose flavor as well...but I'm okay with it.

Sorry i forgot to mention, it has 12mg nic. Im not quite sure about PG/VG ratio because some say 70PG/30PG is better for throat hit and some say opposite. I know that my first try of flavour (Boba's Bounty 100VG 12mgNic) made sctrachiness on my throat much more than current fruity one. Probably flavour is also effective. But i feel like nic is not the issue since I was smoking a pack of strong analogs everyday. which probably has over 20mg. By diluting you mean adding water right? I might try that on the first one.
I just want a decent not sweet eliquid which has a strong throat hit but no scratchy feeling on my throat so i can get my hands off of analogs for good.

It is best to dilute with a mixture of 'plain' PG and/or VG (make sure it's USP food grade PG/VG. Diluting with water will thin your juice too much and will cause more leaking or spitting. It is best to learn more about mixing or diluting by going thru the DIY E-Liquid forum before making any attempts.

But feel free to ask further if you are not able to find what you are looking for :)

Basically did a web search for e-cig nicotine level and came up with this chart. Not sure how accurate it is but from what I have seen around the web it is very close to getting a starting level. I know 0 nicotine level is available, not sure if 48 is still an option. I started one step below my cigarette use and just bought a new flavor a step lower.

Non-nicotine or 0 mg/ml – This is ideal for users of the products who simply want to enjoy vaping without nicotine effects.

Low Density or 4-6 mg/ml – This is for users who are used to ultra-light types of cigarettes; with consumption of half pack in one day. Five mg/ml is ideal for people who use ultra-light kinds of cigarettes, but consume one half or more pack in a day.

Medium Density or 11-12 mg/ml – It is also for those ultralight cigarette users and consume below one pack a day. It is also for those who normally use half a pack of light or medium strength cigarettes in one day.

High Density or 18 mg/ml – This is for those who consume more than a half pack of regular cigarettes in one day.

XHigh Density or 24 mg/ml – This is for people who consume up to 1.5 pack of strong cigarettes per day.

XXHigh Density or 36 mg/ml – If you consume numerous packs of very strong cigarettes in a day, this is your recommended nicotine strength.

XXXHigh Density or 48 mg/ml – This is your nicotine strength if you heavily smoke or use super strong cigarettes.

Welcome to ecf!!!! I have only been vaping for 6 months and have spent as much on vaping gear as I would have spent on smoking for the first two months. Finding a juice that I liked was the hardest part. You may even change flavors throughout the day. It took me a couple of weeks before I left the ole ....'s behind and stuck to just vaping. In my search for a favorite juice I am now making my own ejuice. Now my juice has just the right flavor at the perfect strength for me..... Just don't give up.. truly it is worth the investment in time and money. I now spend so much less than I did. I am now saving the money I used to spend on smoking (minus vaping costs) to go on a cruiz to Alaska. I should have enough saved in just 6 more months. I found the answers to all my questions here on ecf... The people here are great and will help you all they can... Happy Vaping:)

I have been to a store to buy some 6mg nic to try on my istick50+subtankmini. The guy working there were using istick20+nautilus mini 12mgNic eliquid. It was simply awesome. Decent throat hit, no scratchiness on the throat. I guess my setup is a bit overkill for a beginner :) I guess I will use this kind of setup 4-5 months later. Maybe I should have listened to @m00shie when he first suggested istick30+nautilus mini :p Thanks everyone for their comments and recommendations. I have learned and experienced many things about ecigs in 3days :) Im a little bit short on money this month so I'll sell my setup and buy iStick20or30+Nautilus Mini afterward. I guess this thread can be closed. Cheers :)

1- Im looking to spend 50-100$
2- I want something to take my hands off of cigarettes, i might consider modifying it later though
3- A want to quit smoking. Im guessing theres a long road to vaping for fun :)
4- I guess flavor is more important. Im not sure though, I want a setup that would give the same throat hit as a cigarette.

good luck. allot of people will say this: aspire nautalis mini with an istick 20- or 30.. I agree, Aspire mini requires constant buying of coils which is the same as smoking cost almost to me.

I recommend buying a istick 30 watt with a dripper tank or a Kanger subtank mini. The sub tank comes with a coil where you can fix yourself where you can save money in the long run. cotton and kanthal cost pennies compared to coils. you can google all those things i suggested. It worked for me. And i smoked a pack a day just recently. but it is still difficult because there is no juice that can give me the morning nicotine rush like a cigarette.
