Hello all! My name is Brittany and I'm very new to vaping. I've only had my V2 ecig for about a week now and I find myself both overwhelmed and excited at the same time to all the choices that are out there! It was so much bigger than I thought when I made the switch from cigarettes. I'm currently vaping tobacco flavors, but after browsing through all the interesting blends online I have to admit that I'm intrigued. I'm not quite confident enough to start filling my own carts just yet, but in due time I'm sure. I still have so many questions! I'm excited about having such a large community to read and pick the brains of others. Thanks!

Great info here. If you haven't yet check out PBusardo (tasteyourjuice.com), Igetcha69 (Scott), and Nick GrimmGreen on YouTube. They have reviews on all types of devices, juices, and atomizers/cartomizers. It can be very overwhelming at first, but you will learn the terminology and acronyms in no time. I learned so much from this forum and the videos from PBusardo are super informative :) Tobacco flavors I think are what everyone starts out on. I never would have thought after 12 years of smoking analog menthol cigs that my favorite juices would be fruity. Love me a fruity vape.

Hi briponi, and welcome. There are a lot of choices out there - but you're right, there's no rush. :) The V2 is a KR808D-1 type - that's the type of threading to screw things on. So, in short, you will be able to use KR808d-1 cartomisers with it if you choose to buy them from another supplier. Filling cartos is way easier than it sounds. I was tentative about it but after trying it I realized refilling cartos is easy peasy. And cheaper. Just post any questions when you feel ready to give it a go. Lots of folk here will help out. But it is quite quick and easy to do.

Hello Briponi - welcome to ECF - don't worry about feeling overwhelmed, believe me - we have all been there! Just take a deep breath and keep doing your research here...the information you will find here is invaluable! I agree with Kiwivap - filling cartos is a snap - I myself started out with a KR808D-1 - its how I quit! I think the best advice I can give you is don't try to upgrade yourself too soon - use what you know is working for a while....till you are pretty sure you've kicked it...and above all - ENJOY! This is such a fun journey that you are starting and you will learn so much and make many friends here along the way! :)

Thank you for the warm welcome! Because I'm so new I still have friends and co-workers that haven't seen my new ecig and are confused about the absence of my usual Camels. When telling them about the flavors I have now (V2's Red and Sahara), I like to say it's like switching from Coke to Diet Coke. No one will ever fool me on the difference, but I want to have the Diet Coke instead now ;) The cost savings of filling my own cartos are the most appealing to me, but now I'm just looking around to figure out what's what. Thanks guys!

Congrats Briponi!!! I also just joined this amazing site a few days ago and I feel like I've already learned so much....of course there's tons to learn still but I'm starting to understand a bit. The most important thing is that YOU ARE OFF CIGARETTES and inhaling vapor now which will NOT KILL YOU. Welcome to the rest of your life :) At least that's how I see it.

Welcome to the wonderful world of vaping.

As others have stated, you have an 808 setup. There are lots of accessories out there for the 808 and some of them are awesome. I have several YouTube videos on vaping that range from talking about products to different juice delivery systems. All of my videos use the smokeless image volt, which is also an 808 system, so anything that is discussed in the videos can also be applied to your system. Also, any juice device you see in them (for example, cartos and ce3s) can be used on your battery as well. Feel free to check out the videos, there is a lot of helpful information on them since they are geared towards new vapers. Here is one on how to fill cartomizers.

I've been looking at videos here and there. Thanks for clearly stating that yours and mine are similar enough to share as I've been too worried about getting confused with the other makes/models and making a wrong purchase. I'll make sure to start watching! :D

Has the best 808ds batteries (3 choices) and the best carto blanks. Smokeless Image are like rat fur in Chinese pillows (do and ECF search here and you'll see that).

I used Johnson creek juice which is American made and great quality but expensive. Whatever juice you get, Bloog cartos rock--they never let me down in 1 year + on 808ds while other companies have (Boge for 808ds, SI (crap!).

Best 808d charger!! Charges 5 bats at once (need usb sections) will save you cash and outlet space.

I've never had an issue with the smokeless image cartos. They are horizontal bottom coil, last a long time, provide tons it vapor and don't burn easily.

I have been able to refill them at least 20 times using 70%pg 30%vg juice

Interesting. I was watching Mr. Outlaw's vid where he mentioned the clear cartos. Very intriguing as I'm still trying to figure out just when they're all used up. Usually it's when I switch to a new one for a few vapes and come back to it that it's obvious. Haha, still working on regaining my sense of taste! Seems to be sold out on Smokeless AND Phoenix. Bummer that would have been neat.
