I am such a newbie to this whole vaping thing, just got mine in the mail four days ago and I love it!! So do my non-smoking fiance and coworkers. I am the only smoker left in our company (out of about 40 people) and its lonely and cold outside in Chicago in January!

I was only a 3/4 pack a day smoker, even had an analog this morning on my way to work, but I'll be giving the rest of my last pack to a coworker's hubby at our holiday party tonight. I just don't really crave them and the ecig tastes so much better!

I bought a V2Cigs traveler kit on New Year's Day. Yes, I realize I overpaid, after researching the hell out of it today, but I definitely didn't get screwed. But their replacements cartomizers are too expensive and their shipping dept is out of control and too slow! Anyway, I really like my little auto battery, not such a fan of the manual, it's a bit too strong for me and I've heard they burn through cartos faster.

I'm not really interested in filling my own yet. I have a lot to learn first. In looking at different sites recommended from here, I've found that there are cartomizers on V4L that are a great price, along with inexpensive accessories. Anyone ever order from myvaporstore.com?

There are so many sites out there, it's hard to wade through and find the reputable ones!! Thanks to this site, I'm starting to learn. This seems like a great site, happy to have found this place!

yep this site rocks lol, another thing you can do with your kr808 is buy a dse901 atty and carts if you decide you dont want to mess with the cartos you can also drip with the 901 atty, another vendor to check out is litecigusa.....there prices are really good and quick shipping...usually about 3 days. hope you have a good day and glad to hear your success with the kr808!-)

Welcome to ECF! I've never heard of manual batteries burning through cartos faster. You have more control over your experience with a manual and that's all I use. It's cheaper to refill your own cartos, you have more choices for flavors and it really isn't hard at all. I could recommend quite a few places to get really tasty juice and I know there are places to buy prefilleds. I'm just not sure who they are since I fill my own.

I agree with webbcm127 as far as litecigusa being a good supplier. Got my kr808 starter kit from there.
Great prices on kr8 hardware and fast shipping! Two day Priority delivery to WI. I haven't tried there prefilled cartos, as I've jumped right into the DIY e-juice. Cleaning & refilling cartos is not that hard and saves $.
Sorry, I can't give experiences w/myvaporstore, but can truly recommend Litecigusa.net.
Welcome to ECF!

random forum question: do avatars show up at the same time that you can add a sig (15 posts)?

i think so yeah...seems like that was forever ago lol at the top right of your screen click on your profile then on the about me section then there should be an "edit" and i think you can add it that way

I like the Vapor4Life Coolcarts - they sell blanks but sometimes it is hard to tell which prefills are in Coolcarts and which are in their hotter WOW carts (some WOW flavors seem to actually be in Coolcarts - I think 555 is)

The other thing I like is putting a DSE901 std (not LR) atty and 901 carts on my KR8 (that atty fits with no adapter). Then you can play with carts (rather than cartos) - I like carts for mixing bottled ejuice flavors whenever I feel like it. The 901 atty gives a softer airier hit than the KR8 cartos but still an easy drag and still tasty. It's like having 2 e-cigarettes in one (KR8 and 901).

BTW - I got my 901 atty and carts at LiteCigUSA.net - love their cheap shipping. I get most of my juices at FreedomSmokeUSA (code freedomsmokeusa usually gives 10% off), Backwoods Brew, and Velvet Vapors which will reopen this weekend.

Does this mean less throat hit? That's the biggest problem I've been having. I love the KR808 but I'm having a hard time trying to balance a high enough nic level with my apparently sensitive throat. The throat hit is way too much for me on anything more than about 6mg and even this, with a 60/40 PG/VG mix, gave me a sore throat tonight because I liked the flavor so much & chain vaped it. I used to be a 2ppd Marlboro red 100 smoker and haven't been able to completely stop yet (though I did immediately go down to 1/2 ppd or less & have stayed there for a month) so I'm pretty sure I need a higher nic level. Maybe I need to get a 901 atty? I pretty much drip into my cartos anyway, so it wouldn't be much of a difference there.

there wouldnt be much less of a TH if any less. i would reccomend to you to try an all VG juice, and see if that helps your thoat, many people like to do the 901 on the 808 because you get more flavor and the vapor is just a lil bit cooler, hope this helps you thoat issue and you should try an all VG juice, have a great night!-)

I've made several orders from MVS and have been very pleased. They don't get talked about a lot on here, but they are great. One thing I like about them is that their juice (which is a limited selection) is good right out of the mail, which is kind of rare. I'm already getting sick of the "this flavor sucks, let's see how it is in another week or two" game you have to play with other vendors.

Thank you everyone! I obviously have a lot to learn!

I had to order some cartos from V2cigs to use up my store credit but goodness only knows when they'll actually get here. I'm going to run to a couple local places, see if they have anything in stock (maybe a disposable to get me through), and ill probably place an order with one of the places you've recommended. Knowing V2, somewhere else would probably get here sooner, even without expedited shipping!

Myvaporstore and Vapor4life are both great vendors.V4L has a big selection and lots of 808d1 stuff to choose from.Ive been ordering from them for over a year and never had an issue. The guys who work there are very nice and easy to deal with.

Hi all, another new convert here :) I got my first kit as a Christmas gift from Mom (guess I can take a hint). Unfortunately she chose NJoy, whose prices are outrageous and selection is nil. So I quickly used up their initial supply of cartos and searched for an alternative. Reading comments here led me to V4L. Very happy with my first order - reasonable prices and quick shipping - placed a 2nd order for the PCC kit & other stuff. I accidently chose 2 of the same flavor samplers, and wrote to ask if they could switch, and they were very accommodating. Great customer service. Just placed my 3rd order (already craving those WowBoys, LOL). I like that they've been tossing in an extra carto of a random flavor to try out.
Just wish I could find a local store to just wander into to buy stuff. The selection in smoke shops is slim if any. You think that's because this is still a fairly new concept?
Sorry for the long ramble... just happy to be here and excited about finally being able to quit analogs.
