So far I only have ordered some 24mg juice from Mr. e-liquid because I noticed my "Smart Smoke" disposable has the little plastic top and rubber grommet that pops right out. The Smart Smoke I have is a bigger than a regular cig. I am starting to appreciate the green light vs. the red just so people don't think I am really smoking. The smart smoke also has a good smoke cloud and flows easy. I want to step easily into the whole thing so I don't end up with a bunch of incompatible stuff. Of the two disposables I have the cig2go looks more realistic but doesnt have the pop off tops. And curiously the cartridges aren't interchangeable. I am going to see if this juice works and then probably order the Volt. I like the idea of the one you mentioned wv2win but the picture shown doesn't look like they have pop tops for refills. Refilling interests me quite a bit at this point.

I have given up ordering from e-cig dot com because shipping is too damn high!

I went with the Volt from smokeless image as my "starter" and have never looked back. I still use my 78MM automatic batteries with cartomizers for when I'm out and about and the X2 with clearomizer for all day vaping. I can get 4-6 refills on a carto and 3-4 weeks on a clearo.

I found this forum when I was looking for a step up from the smoke shop piece of crap I bought, and seeing a positive review on the Volt from Steeljan sold me on the choice. I just wasn't ready for something "bigger". Although the 650mah X2 with a clearo is probably about cigar size, and that's what I'm using now for the battery life.

Why would anyone bother to find their favorite juice from their e-cig company? Do they really expect to get all their juice in the future from the same company they bought their e-cig from?

Why not?

For two years I bought my e-juice almost exclusively from Vapor4Life, which is also where I bought my e-cig. I did so because V4L had the best tasting juices, the Wow varieties. Nowadays I find myself liking the boutique-types of liquids better, so I buy a lot from Virgin Vapor. I also buy many of my e-cig supplies from them.

Lots of new vapers think they want something the size of a cigarette and an automatic battery. Without exception, once they try that they find out a few things.

Small batteries keep you tied to a charger.

Small batteries don't have the power to atomize juices efficiently and will never give you the flavor or vapor of a larger battery.

Automatic batteries have vacuum switches that get contaminated with juice and fail. They also don't give you the option of doing a "primer puff" to get the coil hot for a better vape.

Small batteries deny you the option of using low resistance atomizers. LR atomizers and cartos provide the vape that satisfies and allows you to kiss those tobacco cigs goodbye.

The eGo and its counterparts provide the power and versatility that open up most of the accessories to provide a satisfying vaping experience. It's a little larger in diameter than a cigarette, but vastly more powerful and handles Boge 2.0 ohm cartos well. This level is where you will experience most of what vaping actually can be.

Here's the size comparison. The eGo on the bottom can provide a great vaping experience and still fit in a pocket with ease. The 510 on the top is a good ecig, but very limited in options for more than a mediocre vape. They both have the same size atomizer thread, but the eGo will let you use many more vaping options, cartos and carto tanks being an important one. BTW, even the 510 on the top will give you a better experience than a gas station ecig, but not equal to that of an eGo. With ecigs, battery size matters!

Hello, I wanted to introduce myself and say I am new to the eCig world.
Mainly looking for good suppliers to buy from. I am tired of going to the local market and getting new refills every few days.

I have tried nJoy disposables and Smart Smoke and another brand I can't remember. (Due to the fact the store doesn't have the refills, just the $20 starter kit with two carts/battery and usb charger)
I found a website (i can't put in the website since I am new)
the site is [e dash cig dot com]
and I am wondering if anyone here has purchased from them before.

They seem to be a lot cheaper than buying from the store. And TONS of variations.

Also looking for recommendations that anyone may have to accommodate my personal preferences.

My story:
I have always been a light smoker. (1 pack a week) My brand is Marlboro Medium (now called red-label). I have quit completely for 1-3 years at least 3 times in the past but always missed the habit. Not the smell or the slight nausea I would sometimes get from smoking. My big cravings always happen when I am driving alone by myself for any distance over a mile or so.
This is what got me going on eCigs. I was on a business trip to Florida and the rental car provided by my company had a strict no smoking policy and I got tired of stopping here and there for a cigarette. I happened to be buying gas at a 7-11 that had a counter display for the nJoy disposables. I had heard of these eCigs before but was kind of leery about trying one. I assumed it was some sort of weird chemical people were inhaling and when they first came out one of the local bars in town had them for $100 for a kit. So I had always stayed away. Now for $8 this nJoy promised it was safe and was the equivalent of two packs (totally not the case).
I got the nJoy and other than it being a little heavy it looked and felt just like a real cigarette. So I was hooked right away. no smell, no nausea, and I could "smoke" in the car and even back at the hotel room. After a day or two I had sucked my way right through that thing and that's when I decided they were definitely not the equivalent of two packs because two packs of real cigarettes would have lasted me 2 weeks easy. Still, the other benefits outweighed the extra cost in my opinion.

When I got home I looked at the local markets for the nJoy disposables but no one had them, in fact the only setup I could find at first was the "Smart Smoke" so I got one of those with the regular tobacco flavor (they had reg/light/menthol and coffee) I got in my car and started smoking it right away and was appalled to discover this already more fake looking cigarette had a green LED! I felt like a fool and put it away until I got home where only my wife could laugh at me. After some research I do see the need for other color LED's and even the no LED versions but this doesn't appeal to me.

In summation I would say I am more addicted to the physical habit than the nicotine but I definitely need that too.
I currently buy the 18mg Menthol refills because they give me that slight burning sensation that I am used to in my throat. I don't seem to get the head change that I normally do from a Marlboro so I am wondering if anyone would care to make me a recommendation for a starter kit that has a "close as possible" to a regular cigarette and maybe a refill setup that maybe is a little stronger than the 18mg (or another way to still get the familiar buzz).
I am also interested in experimenting with other flavors if possible but it's not a deal breaker. Cost is definitely a factor too. I would like to explain to my wife that not only are these safer for everyone, they are less expensive.

I don't plan on using this in a public place other than places where cigarettes are already ok. (another reason I would like to have a realistic looking setup)

Before I started using eCig's I thought it would be nice to not have the habit at all but with these now available I don't think I need to quit anymore. I originally thought I could use this as a cessation product but with no smell and most of the harmful effects of smoking gone, why bother?

Sorry to be so verbose, it's just my style. I don't like to have any questions left unanswered. :)

Thanks for making it all the way through my post
Luke

Luke,

I had a similar experience to you. For me, I was hiding my smoking from my kids, mother and in laws. The only person in my family who knew I smoked was my wife. And with her, I was only supposed to do it when we were together. I have wanted to quit for a while, but couldn't give up the habit of the actual smoking. I knew it wasn't the nicotine as much because when I would go a day or two, I didn't have nic fits, but I would miss the hand to mouth action. I also got very tired of having to mask the smell with axe but every time I said "this is my last pack" I would buy another.

I started with the njoy disposable as wll and liked it so I ordered a blu starter pack, what a mistake. I wanted something that looked and felt like a cig so that I could trick myself, but the blu cartos could not be refilled, cost $2 each and didn't last very long.

I ended up with the volt, which is what I recommend. A lot of people on here will steer you away from the mini e cig. That is mostly because their batteries dont last as long as the mods, but even the ego and mod fanatics will tell you, if you are going to go with the mini, check out the volt. If you are looking for something like an analog, that is the route and here is why:

You can get a pro starter pack which includes a USB charger, a personal charging case, 2 batteries and a pack of cartos for $65. There are always coupons out there so you can get it down to about $55. I recommend paying the extra dollar for the 78mm. They last a lot longer than the shorter ones are with the carto are about the length of a 100 analog. I also recommend getting 1 manual and 1 auto. The autos are nice because you just use it like a cig, but the manual is nice because you have more control. On average, I get about 3 hours out of 1 of my batteries and I continuously vape.

The next nice thing about them is the cartos are refillable and last a long time. On average,I would say they are equal to about 1/2 to 3/4 of a pack of analogs. A prefilled pack of 5 costs $9 before coupons and you can refill them for between 20 to 30 cents. I generally can refill the, about 15 times, but it depends of the juice you use. If you are using the SI juice, I would say get a bottle of juice and the same cartos. The blank cartos are the same as the prefilled so you end up with 5 free ml. They also have an x2 battery that lasts from 6/12 to 11 ours depending on which on you get. It fits all of their cartomizers and is great if you are using it at home. It is about the size of a cigar. I would work yourself into that, which is what I did.

Lastly smokeless image has awesome customer service. They generally ship the same day you order, and every order I have placed, even with the cheapest shipping, has been at my door within 3 days. The couple of times I have had a problem with an order, they fixed it that day and gave me a freebie. P,us they are always having contests in here. One that is great for newbies is that if you go to their thread on here, they have a contest that if you post a picture of yourself using your volt, they will give you a free battery, juice or pack of cartos. It works, I got my battery within 3 days of posting.

The best advice I can give you is ask around. Also, buy small bottles of juice until you find one that you like. The biggest mistake that a lot of us have made is buying 30ml bottles of juice from companies only to find out we don't like it. Many companies sell 5ml or 10ml bottles, and some even give a free bottle. Also, the closest you will get to an analog taste is a pipe tobacco flavor, there is no way to replicate that burning taste of tobacco, but there are many juices that have nice tobacco flavor and give you the throat hit you crave. If you are getting headaches, lower the nicotine level.

Hope this helps, happy vaping
