Hello all. i decided to join this group bc i have been reading the forums for the past week and it has helped tremendously, but i have some questions of my own i would like some help with. So I have purchased some flavors from TFA and Cappellas @ One Stop DIY Shop online and have started making some of my own e-juice just to experiment. I have made about 10 different batches of 20ml bottles 2 days ago.

My questions are
*what are the most common flavors used and the best?
*can i use a heated ultrasonic cleaner to steep, or what is the best method?
*how do big corp such as Glas, Suicide bunny, ect steep their product?
*best place for supplies?
*tips on how to you make your juice.

My favorite e juice to vape is pound cake by Glas (but @ $23 i go thru more than i want to spend) and custard types. If anyone knows a few good clones or close recipes that would help also. I quit smoking about 2 yrs ago and have been vaping for about that long now but buying good e juice at that price is more than buying Cigs. So i want to start making my own and looking for some inquiry.

My equipment i use the most is
*Koopor plus with a velocity RDA (6 wrap kanthal dual coils @ about .18 ohm)
*IPV4S with a Herakles tank
*Nimbus mec mod with a budda RDA (4 wrap Parallel dual coils) This is a cloud machine!!!

Thank you to ever reads this and is willing to help a newbie out :)

Try the DIY sub forum for liquids questions ---> DIY E-Liquid

Be sure you're using the appropriate batteries in your regulated APV's for the power range you use.
More importantly use the appropriate batteries that can safely support the resistance range you vape with the mechanical.
Thank you. Yea I always check my resistance when building my coils and i like to use MXJO 18650's. I really dont use my mec mod much anymore do to the fact i have bought newer box mods that are safer.

Hello and welcome to the forum @Thomas Nabors. Glad to have you here!:)

Lots of reading will help you determine which flavor from which flavoring company will work best for you in the juice you are trying to make. I use flavorings from all of the companies listed below with the exception of HS.

With regards to steeping you can jump start the aging process along via hot water bath/crock pot, ultrasonic, seed steeping (google it), etc.

Below is the information I often give to members new to DIY.
Here are some threads you may like to read through for different flavoring companies. Many of the posts include recipes and comments about a specific flavor.

Welcome and glad you joined from a DIY guy.
*what are the most common flavors used and the best?
Probably no such thing as the most common flavors or the best. Everyone has individual tastes.
*can i use a heated ultrasonic cleaner to steep, or what is the best method?
You can accelerate the steep. What is the best method--I like a natural steep. I plan my mixing batches to mature to their optimum flavor as I perceive in a timely manner. You might benefit by researching this on your own.
*how do big corp such as Glas, Suicide bunny, ect steep their product?
Impossible to answer. The safest answer would be the most cost effective way.
*best place for supplies?
Every supplier has a select group of blenders they represent. I do not know of any one supplier that represents all blenders. Impossible to answer.
*tips on how to you make your juice.
See Susan-S above.

Hi, *what are the most common flavors used and the best? Taste is subjective so what is "best" differs from person to person. Probably fruit flavours are most used when starting out. Myself I've found that single fruit flavours unless at a high % don't do much for me, though fruits with a base of cream like TFA Bavarian Cream are what I started with. I do small 3.5 ml testers to get an idea of what a flavour tastes like.

*can i use a heated ultrasonic cleaner to steep, or what is the best method? There are lots of threads on steeping, the search function and reading them will give you other's impressions of various steeping methods but again trying a few will tell you what works for you, whether its a simple shake and place in a dark cupboard for a week, a warm water bath, or crock pot method. I suggest trying these before spending $ on something you may or may not need.

*how do big corp such as Glas, Suicide bunny, ect steep their product? I have no idea how they steep or if they do.

*best place for supplies? This I will let someone in the states answer.

*tips on how to you make your juice.

Wayne's site has many videos that really helped me learn about mixing. Enjoy and welcome to mixing.

Custards are yummy, but if you're worried about diketones they are bad news. Capella's Vanilla Custard V1 is a very common one, but it's on the D/AP list. CAP makes a V2 version, but it's not as buttery tasting. TFA Vanilla Swirl is a good creamy vanilla type flavor that is diketone free too.

I usually use Capella Vanilla custard v1, but I don't care about dikes. If you do I would definitely second Han's recommendation here for tfa Vanilla Swirl. It's really yummy. I think it is definitely one of my favorite flavors to mix with.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.
Aside from all the excellent advice above, I would chime in with my own personal (and fresh) experience.

I like tobacco vapes - so I ordered lots of tobaccos and some flavors to compliment. Your taste will vary. Think of what e juices you often bought, that will guide your purchases.
I would suggest reading everything they cited above for sure - these guys in here are awesome.
Then I would suggest glassware, test tubes and graduated cylinders, accurate measurement is a must with D.I.Y.
Be most mindful of the Nicotine - be very careful with it - but if your cautious, you should be fine.
If you get a headache from vaping - probably too much Nicotine in the mix or your vaping too much. :)

Hope some of that helps - consider it an overview and what I sought fresh into it.
This is a real journey you have entered on - be excited, it is a lot of fun
Good luck!
